I have not either… twice I have taken a taxi…
Same here twice while I was in NYC with my brother when he was going to Sloan Kettering for his cancer. We were all glad when he got shut of that place. Boston was much better for him, at least for a few years. Drive in and out the same day.

Something else I've never done :)
I could have claimed the same, until last summer. I'm always slow to adopt new "social tech", I even held out on getting a cell phone way past any of my friends and coworkers... and then did the same when smart phones came along.

But I took the train to DC last summer for work, and while trying to get around the city, realized Uber really was the best/easiest way. It's beyond simple, easier than ordering crap off Amazon, and a driver is usually picking you up within 5 minutes. Vastly cheaper, faster, and more reliable than ordering a Taxi.

I also ended up using the Lime electric scooters a lot while there, as the house I had rented was about six or seven blocks from where I was doing business, and you'd get mighty hot and sweaty hoofing that distance in business attire in the June heat wave we were under that week. Those scooters are left parked all over the city, usually you can find one within half a block of where you're staying, if not parked right out front. Hop on, scan the ID tag with your phone, and turn the throttle! It was a real nice quick, cool and breezy way to make shorter trips around the city, when you didn't want to bother with an Uber or taxi.

I tried to fill up my truck at Costco a while back. The pump would not read my member card-it was my original card and admittedly in pretty rough shape

I called over an attendant who looked at my card and said "your card is actually older than I am by 2 years..."

We get that at our grocery store... the card is a paper laminated card from 1985, the year we got married. :p
