You Know You Are Old When

I was born in the early 70's, my teen years were late 1980's and early 1990's, and the early 90's was admittedly a pretty great time to be a teen. But every time I watch a movie like American Graffiti, or a show like That 70's Show, I realize you guys had it even better. (y)

Of course, we had Taco Bell, in addition to your White Castle. I'd be almost afraid to eat it today, but I could put away a clean six-pack of Taco Bell 69-cent tacos at age 17. :ROFLMAO:
I was born in 1950, and grew up in what I maintain was the best time in history to grow up. It was timed just right to start driving as the best real muscle cars were built.
Life was a whole lot simpler back then, we had red line Wide Ovals, gas was $.25/gallon and phones had curly cords.

I have to wonder if she is still alive.

Every generation feels the same about when they were growing up... which is the way that it should be.

Maybe. My grandfather was entering his first apprenticeship at age 13 when the stock market collapsed and began the Great Depression, and thus a perfect draft-age 22 when WW2 started. I wonder if he really felt this way? :ROFLMAO:

I dunno, my father was about the same age and he seemed to view his youth as the good old days.

Born 1951.
By the time I got to junior high I had studied enough history of civilizations to recognize we in the US were at the peak of humanities occupation of earth. Least amount of work needed to provide for existence, could fairly safely travel the world by sticking out your thumb. Fewest percentage dying from disease.
GAD it was great.

Born 1954. Amen to that. It was the best of times. Most people worked for a living and respected one another.
