Just don't EVER call me a Jagov/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

It is a gumband, what else could it be

We used to buy ham salad from Yetter's, it came in ice cream carton's, and we called it ice cream meat.

I now like my Jumbo Barbecued....

My accent is stuck in the middle, and my beautiful wife still screws up her face funny/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif when I get hung up somewhere between the 'Burgh and OK

I have introduced several treats like meatball sandwiches, philly steaks and calizone. But I like it here and don't pine away for the old cuntry.

I do not miss potholes.

It was Mt. Troy, just overlooking the NorthSide and Millvale, to be exact.

I grew up in Allentown (in Pittsburgh, not the town), its between Mt Oliver and Mt Washington. Used to ride the inclines down to go downtown or to the "souside". The area has really changed since I lived there.

that's 'xactly where my brother lives, now. It is really amazing what a differant place it is since I moved out in 1982.

There were truck farms around our house, where they farmed behind Clydesdales. My wife laughed and called them gardens when she saw them. I got even though, when we met some girls from Mars at Station Square. I talked real friendly to them, but she kept nudging me away from what she suspected as serious drug enhanced fantasizers. Nice town, Mars...

Oh-oh... looks like we're may be starting a new forum. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Wow... know all of those places. I was born in Grove City and raised in the Greenfield section of town (next to Squirrel Hill). Great place to grow up! In the city but had lots of space to run and play.

Okay... here's another word that's fairly local to the Burgh. When it snows, the roads are real slippy. If there was one word that drove non-Pittsburghers nutty, it was "slippy". Made perfect sense to me... of course, I knew no better.... /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Oh yes... driving on PA roads. Did a one day trip to Harrisburg yesterday and drove up I-81 from the Hagerstown area. Don't you just love the ride in the right hand lane - k-thunk k-thunk k-thunk..... for miles and miles. PA just loves those concreate roads that need to be replace every 10-15 years. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

Look out Pa.

She's comin back! She has made hotel reservations, and will be hauling her [censored] golf sticks.
May 4th, long weekend, Allentown and Easton as well as Bethleham, be on the lookout for a red Geo Prism.
She now has NY driving habits, and should be considered dangerous.
Also Williamsport better be on the lookout, she will be returning via that route.
About those roads, at least Pa paves them, unlike NY where we just add more asphalt for a better washboard effect.
By the way, just how in hell does Pa lay roads out, Follow the drunk?

Re: Look out Pa.

Ha....

You should travel in Arkansas. I think that every cow and Native American was drinking when they laid out their paths! /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
