I'm pretty close to the Susquehanna River (about a mile wide and a lot of boating in my area.
Anyway, at least two of the marinas use tractors (2 new NH's and one older machine...a Case, I think) to transport the boats.

That picture is from Costa Rica. No marinas anywhere near there. Just find a beach and hope not to get stuck.

I use mine for all sorts of stuff. I haul my firewood out of the woods with it. I move landscaping material. I plow my driveway and that has saved me lots of money seeing how I was paying someone 50 bucks a clip when I had the driveway plowed. I maintain my gravel driveway with the tractor and also have now started to crate my firewood for storage seeing how I obtained forks for the front loader. That alone cuts down on the number of times I handle the wood from 6 to 2.

Yep i plow my driveway, I plowed a few of my neighbor's driveways, and this year i plowed 1/2 mile of our private road. - that took about 4 hours with my previous tractor - a JD 4100.
