I have the bar tires on my 2350 and do not have anyproblem tearing up the grass unless I am in four wheel drive. You will not regret getting the loader in place of the front blade. I use the loader and the rear blade and it moves snow and everything else i need to move fine. The only thing I need to do is get a set of chains for added traction.

I looked last night, out of curiosity, and the prices at my dealership are simlilar to Mr. Browns. They have an 1850 with a FEL for $9,595 and an 1850 with a 54" MMM for $9,395. Didn't have just a "bald" 1850 for comparison, but these are what I would consider good prices.

I think the 2350 is generally a $1,500 or $2,000 premium for the sake of comparison.

Considering what folks regularly do with the 2 cylinder BX1500 (now out of production), I'd probably look at the 1850, 54", FEL, and a rear blade and/or box blade. You could tackle a great many projects with that machine (this is essentially what I ran for a year before purchasing the backhoe) and still have the flexibility of adding a Woods BH6000 Backhoe later on if you wanted...to tackle the OTHER great many projects.

I just picked up a copy of our local Bulletin Board a buy sell trade publication.
The local Kubota Dealer has a display ad in it.
BX1850 $6945
BX2350 $8167
BX24---$14487
These tractors and prices are available to all not just LB59.
For the doubting Thomas's I could send them a copy of the dealers display ad.

1*I think Neil's point was that you have one heck of a nice dealer to seemingly agree to sell you equipment at, or very, very near, or slightly under, his cost. It is very exciting to all of us that you have this type of relationship, but the only benefit the rest of us can reap is hearing you constantly brag about it, hijacking threads about it, and making us all feel like morons for paying a penny more than you do at this amazingly wonderful dealer.

2*He must gouge everyone else to make up for not making a penny off of you...which is why I don't mind paying a GOOD price rather than one person to get a GREAT price and the rest of us make up for that...

3*Mr. Shrekbelly asked if $12K was a good price and inquired about configuration. I think we've gotten him some good stuff.
1*There is no nice dealer giving me special prices simply because I'm me as these prices are available to all.
As a matter of fact the prices I posted in reply to the Original Poster came from 2 different dealers.
How is giving the op the info he wanted bragging or hijacking his thread?
What was I supposed to do / add a copula of thousand to each price I stated so as not to make anyone feel like a moron?
How would doing that benefit the OP?
2*The ad prices are available to everyone so how can that be considered gouging?
3*But mine ain't simply because the prices are to low?

I am grateful for any and all replies, especially those cocerning puechase price guidelines. shrekbelly
I merely shared my recent shopping experences with shrekbelly just as he requested no more or no less.

1*Before I decided to buy the new bx1500 I went to the local dealer and got a price on the BX1850 and 54'' mower and was quoted $9100.
my new bx1500 and A 48'' mower was considerably less than $9100.
Wouldn't you know it soon after delivery of my 2 bx1500s the local dealer places a display ad in the bulletin board with a discounted price of $6945 for just the BX1850 tractor with the 54 '' MMM the price is $8595.
Had i not found the new BX1500 I would be ordering the BX 1850 with the 54'' mower from my local dealer right now.
Again these BX1850 pries are for anybody buying it from my local dealer not just me.
11*Yes a bx1850 would be a good choice for the op wishing to stay around the 12000 mark.

I am looking for a mower and a Kubota dealer near me gave me a price of $9375. for a BX 1850 with a 54" deck and loader valve. Since I only want to mow and don't need front attachments he said it would be about $400 less without the loader valve.

That would make it about $8975 without the loader valve.
A good price considering my local dealer gave me a price of $9100 for the same set up on the BX1850 back in Oct.
However he's currently running a special on the BX1850 and It's now available to anyone with the 54''MMM for $8595.
Anybody can get this price on A BX1850 there.
Had I not bought a new BX1500 with a 48'' MMM for $7750 before the local dealer put the BX1850 on sale I would be very interested in a New BX1850 with 54'' mower for $8595.

esteemed forum fellows,
While reading threads on this board I came across a used BX1500 With only 300 hours on it for $8250.
It comes with FEL=Front End Loader and a 54'' MMM=Mid Mount Mower.
You could add a front blade to it and still come in at about $10000
perhaps even less depending on what blade you went with
Like new or used-54'' or 60''
