I had those on my Deere straight out of the factory. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I guess I just thought they were an industry standard.
As to my best addition, I would have to say my toothbar. For the money I spent, it's given me the best return in terms of increased utility.
I bought my tractor (my first ever) used and it had a loader bucket and backhoe so I can't count those as additions. I almost didn't get the backhoe because I couldn't imagine why I'd ever want one and didn't think I'd ever use it. Needless to say, I'm glad I got it.
Ironically, it was a case of "two fools met." I didn't want the BH and the seller didn't he could sell it separately (thank goodness he didn't know about TBN). I kept pressing for a price 'sans backhoe' and they finally relented and offered to take $500 off.
I just didn't think that was enough so drove to the local dealer to price a new one--$6,000! I called my seller before I started my truck at the dealership to tell him I'd pay the extra $500 but, before I could, he interrupted me to tell me I could have the backhoe AND the $500 off. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
