Your Chromebook experience

Got my first one, Lenovo Yoga, tired of Windows and various tablets.

So far its OK, a different computer experience for me.

Love to hear users experience and things to watch out for.

Gradually being dragged into the 2000's or so my kids tell me,
maybe someday Ill own a vehicle newer than 2003.

Weird!! My wife has a Lenovo Yoga running Windows 10. She detests Chromebooks due to slow speed and having to load everything from "the cloud" and their inability (according to her) to print. Her experience was in the public schools and I think their servers were overloaded slowing things down. Perhaps it would be a different story in a home environment. We have a slow internet so I doubt it would be good in our house.

WIFI is pretty good here, I have been using IBM Thinkpads for years, always been good. Bought by Lenovo, seems quality continues, I've had a few Lenovo Thinkpads, also good. Physically the Chomebook is good, ChromeOS is quirky, have to close Chromebook more than I would like to get responsiveness back. Otherwise reboot to recover functionality. Fortunately is boots in lt 10 seconds. Hopefully will get better with OJT, could be lose nut on the keyboard.

I've been using an Asus Chromebook with 15" full HD screen for over a year.

My only complaint is I can't stream HD quality video from Google competitors like Amazon Prime.

I have an Apple computer. I tried that latest version of Chromebook. No joy. It did not function well with some of my design software. It didn't seem to print well. I dumped it. I now use Safari, Opera & Firefox.

Looked hard at refurb Apple MacBook Pros but to much $$$ at this time. I have some Mac/Apple products, always been good. Have lots of PShop and AI seat time on Apple, very nice.
