Land pride offer's them in either 42" or 50". Even though they are rated for SCUTs the 50" seemed a little big for my 17.7 PTO hp...

If it were me, I would get the 50 inch, if I were set on reverse tine.

I've used reverse, and forward tine both................And I'll be honest, I do see some difference in the tilling quality.

I actually think my forward tine Bush Hog may have done a little better. Will take more than one use(which is all I've used it), but the ground seemed to stay 'fluffier' for a lot longer.

Your ground may be different than mine though................The ground makes a huge difference.

After seeing Land Pride's video, it made me a believer in rear tine. I thought it buried the vegetation better and made the soil finer. No?

Well, that's a little hard to say. Over the 22 years I've owned my JD 750, I've bought or built all the attachments I really need.

I've made or adapted:

JD 375 front blade - modified to rear blade with power angle

Skidsteer-type mounting plate for loader arms with snowplow and forklift attachments

Added rear hydraulic outlets run by the SCV via a selector valve.

I'm looking at a JD 246 sweeper that I hope to adapt for rear use.

Next thing would be a set of grapple forks to work with my FEL.

Would be interesting if we listed what we have, then what we wish we had. My wish list would be:

A self feed TPH chipper
A 48" grapple w/electric diverter valve.
A mini square baler would be fun too.

I have a PATU DC40 which is not self-feeding (assuming you mean feed rollers).

I used to work in the rental business and have used some BIG chippers with self feed, and yes, they're nice, especially on the big stuff.

However, I burn anything over 3" or so in my wood stove, so I mostly chip brush and small stuff and I've never really had a problem with the PATU. The angle of the knife is such that it pretty much feeds itself. The only time I have to expend any effort is on really brushy or crooked stuff, and that's only long enough to get it started into the knives.

For my GC2600 I wish my next purpose to be a Land Pride 48 or 60 inch grading scraper to replace my box-blade for road work. After that I'm done for sure . Problem is I'm running out of room to store the attachments.

That's me more storage required before more implements and pay done the line of credit, lol.

Tell me about it. My Yanmar 169D puts out 16 hp at the PTO and can barely handle my 50" tiller. i can run it at full hrottle and once that tiller meets the ground it bogs my tractor down to half throttle.

This BX1500 Handles this KK 48 incher like it's not even back there.
