Hercules were very popular, and alot of them used the thermosiphon cooling system. I bat that block has a round bolt pattern like a poewer unit engine. I cant remeber the sae number for them but several bell housing would interchange back then. My have to pick a few parts between them one the clutch to get the right transmission splines. A man in Savannah TN had 5 or 6 of them wouldnt sell a bolt off of one of them. He passed away and his =kids sold them to a man for scrap. He laughed all the was to his barn with his cheap find.
