What size box blade do you have nybirdman? Is your box blade something you run with a JD?

The "least used" but valuable to me is the wing plow I built for the JD 4300. This winter only used it once, but it was available, quick to mount, and easy to store. And the snowplow berm was quickly moved back making room for more snow.

That is a GREAT idea. Agree it's probably not "most valuable overall" but it certainly would have been "most valuable this winter" for us. The snow banks on the sides of our driveway got out of control since they just melted enough to turn into ice. Wish I'd had one of those when I started the winter. Our long driveway just kept getting narrower and narrower and narrower...

For me, I'd have to say:

  1. Forks (mine are clamp on, but they're REALLY handy)
  2. Landscape rake (even turned it into a make-shift snowplow when my "real" plow broke one of the welds)
  3. Box Blade
  4. Everything else

Here is my "had-to-make-something-quick-when-my-original-homemade-snowplow-busted-a-weld-and-we-had-8-inches-of-fresh-snow" snow plow made from a 2x12 and the landscape rake -- I seem to ALWAYS find a use for the landscape rake around here it seems... spring, summer, fall or winter. It has probably been my single most-attached implement over the last 3 years of cleaning up the new 6 acre homestead. The landscape rake can be used for SO many different things, I don't think I could get by without it.

Light duty grapple. It is on my loader 80% of the time.

I enjoyed that thread and it is high on my bucket list. looked at a $200 , 7'6' fisher blade the other day on Craig s list that might be the blade for the project.
