Tractor
Several, all used and abused.
I'm sorta, kinda, looking for a cabbed tractor. I'm in no rush, but I would like to buy something before everything starts to grow again next year. One of the tractors that caught my eye while searching online is this Kioti DK90.

I'm not familiar with Kioti. My impression of them that every time a dealer opens up in the area, they last a couple of years and then disappears. None of the dealers that I've seen in the area where dedicated dealers. One was an ACE hardware, another sold Golf Carts, and the last one was a Lawn Mower/Chainsaw business.

Currently, there is a dealer that's about half an hour away from me that has a nice website and I'm encouraged by this.

Are there any known issues with this model?

Where do you get parts online if the local dealer doesn't have them, closes down or if I just don't want to drive there?

While looking at the Kioti website, I tried to find information on the DK90 and nothing comes up other then some old reviews that don't tell me very much. Is there a parts page with schematic drawings? If something breaks, how do you look up what the part number is?

Howdy Eddie ! I bleed Bota orange , however we know Kioti makes a kick ass great tractor . That looks like a fair deal for a tractor with that displacement .

However if I were you I would look long and hard at a tractor like a Mahindra 6075 4wd cab (4cyl) 71 hp NEW . Its no secret Texas is Mahindra country . I would drop down my needs in displacement and would be more than willing to get a new tractor and add some more beans $ to the pile . In your region you would have a ton of support imo with Mahindra . Perhaps you might even have some good trade bait for the Mahindra dealer and get the cash #"s lowered .

Lower your displacement needs . Add hard earned beans.... Buy new . Just my 2cents not trying to start a range " WAR " !!! 🤠

90 hp is more then what I'm needing, but it's not a bad thing either. What I really like about this tractor is that it has everything that I would want in a tractor. I'm also looking at a Kubota 7040 and a Massey Ferguson 2850. All are for about the same price. None have Tier 4 smog. All are 4x4 with cabs and loaders with Quick Attach and at least 2 sets of remotes.

I'm nervous about Kioti support and how long it might take to get parts. Not so much now where everything is messed up, but in normal times. I'm hopeful that something will change in the future!!

I've looked at Mahindra, but the used ones look really used for not having very many hours on them. I know a few people that own them and it's probably 50/50 on those who love them, and those who wish that they had bought another brand. The big complaint is getting parts when something breaks. Which goes back to my concern with Kioti. I have a Branson and I know all about how hard it is to get parts when they stop supporting their products.

I get most of my parts online here https://www.michiganironandequip.com/OEMpartfinder
Go to Kioti parts, DK 90 shows the schematics and part numbers
Or here https://www.noltspower.com/oempartfinder
Thank you for the link. I clicked on it and then clicked on Fuel Pumps. It's $8,100 to replace it!!!! Is every brand this extreme?

I've had a DK90 since new in 2013.

it's my primary chore tractor and haying tractor. There's about 2400 hours on it now.

good machine

the only known issue that I'm aware of is that the tie-rod ends were breaking. Mine didn't, but I know of a rammy guy in Saskatchewan that broke two. The part has been upgraded. I replaced mine with warranty parts before I had any trouble with them. When you are bouncing over frozen cow pies carrying bales in the winter things will break. Several owners of some green tractors around here have been going through major front end parts for several years. Rammy operators.

go look at it. Run, don't walk. A quick view of the pics show a machine in nice shape, but pics can be deceiving. 2000 hours is just broken in.

all filters are available from Napa.
It's a simple tractor that any decent mechanic can fix.

Anyway, I'm impressed with mine fwiw.

mine replaced an aging Deutz 7110 which was a cadillac of a tractor. I've run several other chore tractors over the years. I would put the Kioti with any of them.

I've run a 7040. Nice little tractor that's very lightweight and hasn't nearly enough gears. It's certainly not in the same league as the DK90 in any way, shape, or form,

Thank you, that was very encouraging.

What does "rammy" mean?

Rammy means operating with undo care and attention.

expecting that something can take abuse over and above reasonability

My parents are from Prince Albert and St Walburg. I even bought a dog from North Battleford. I never heard anybody say "rammy" before!!!
