I too have to say that's an awesome looking pickup!! My Durango had a 5.7 Hemi in it and it ran well but it did like gas. With the weight I tow a gas engine isn't an option. I towed 7k behind my Durango a few times but it really downshifted a lot on the highway. Even though it pulled fine, I didn't like all the shifting or the high RPM's it turned when down shifting. Still, like I said, I had zero problems with it so maybe it was made to shift that much and take those R's.

Just got over 4000 miles and averaging 10.1 MPG.

I guess you are talking about the 2008 V-10 you got? That's about par from what I read as far as mpg go. So does it have a 4.10 gear?

Well had to get this thread going again. We had to turn in our 2007 Ford F-150 Super Crew 4x4 when the lease was up a few weeks ago so just prior we went truck shopping. Drove everything on the market in the 1/2 size except for the Ram and ended up with a Nissan Titan. Seemed to fit us the best and the features and creature comfort along with the strong power train, good ground clearance (very important where we live), and good dealer sold us. We had always like the styling, so it was time for a change. The first truck I had was a GM followed by a Toyota, then 3 Fords, a Dodge, then 7 more Fords of which we still own two of, a 2004 F-250 PS 4x4 and a 2006 F-350 PS 4x4.

Well here is the pics. Its the Off Road with 33" x 11.5" x 17" Hankook Mud Terrain tires. It has the Detroit locker on the rear axle, the Big Tow Package, Factory sprayed in Bed Liner and Bed Restraint System, Navigation, XM Radio, Heated Seats, Rockford Fosgate Stereo with Sub Woofer, and about every other option available. The one sore point of the truck is there was no factory installed brake controller like the New F-150 had, none of the others brands have it either, so I just installed the one I had in the F-150 this truck replaced.

I have only towed once with it so far but with 7,000# boat behind it the trucks computer showed 12.9 MPG which is better than the F-150 did. It would only muster 11 MPG.

By the way I did not like the way it sat when we got it so I installed a Tuff Country 2" front end leveling kit. Very easy, only took 1.5 hours and made a world of difference.

You get dat much with dat sun? :p

Thats what the computer said. I only have 1,700 miles on the truck and its averaged right at 15 mpg. I saw high 18's on the highway with the cruise at 72. Towing the boat was just 20 miles each direction with only 3 stop signs in between and running 57 on a two lane state road that I live only 1.5 miles from so its a easy drive. I have not driven it enough to hand compute so this is just what the computer is spitting out. I imagine if I get it on the highway and step it up to 70ish it will fall in the 10's mainly due to the 4.10 gearing although it will run 57 at 1600RPM with no load. The truck is very very strong in the first three gears then softens in the middle but the top end gears seem right for economy. Kind of the best of both world for what we do with trucks.

was just curious what you think of their crew cab. I've been using the "build your own" on Nissans web page and am interested in this one model.,.

Silverado 2000 3/4 ton, 6.0L
28' box trailer for dragster
A dirty flatbed and dad has an aluminum one for hauling nice stuff.
A dirty landscape trailer and dad has an aluminim one for hauling nice stuff. (see a trend?)
I sometimes haul the 28' with the 90' p30 motorhome. That gets fun in strong spring winds! Good for some major pucker.

I really like both the king and crew but this particular one caught my eye on a lot equipped the way I wanted. Plenty of room back there for the kids but an adult would not want to sit back there for over a hour just like an ones King/Super/Extended Cab, or whatever you want to call it.
