I had requested some help via this website & as of this date nothing. What is this a web site for yuppies that don't know a top link from a hot link? I't would appear so. Or are you scared of grey tractors? My tractor is here legally. It is from FRance &duties were paid. All I want is a line on parts. What good is a site if you won't help people.

HEY M, a couple of things, the more general the more feedback as it applies to more people.... Just a guess but do not believe that a lot of gray market tractors are on the board. First you need to run a search on "gray tractors" there are some threads on these and parts, if I remember right most are in Louisiana.. even think that the thread listed a dealer that really worked with grays.... I am living at the end of a pig trail surrounded by more coon hunters than you can carry in a 'ole bunch of 4x4's in back woods Arkansas just call me an yuppie. AND YES YOU DID GET A REPLY..........

mpinosa; I don't think that anyone is scared, we are simply tractor owners, not parts dealers. We know what we have run into before. I do remember seeing your post, and wondering a what 7100?????? With all the manufactures in the world, I think that specifying a manufacturer is in order (may be more than one model marked 7100 in this world).

Even then, we may or may not be able to help. If we don't already know the answer, we could intensely search the web, or call around, but then you could do that one yourself.

If someone knows the answer, I am sure that they will respond (not everyone comes by on a daily basis, many of us have day jobs /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif). If no one responds, please don't read as rudeness, it's just that we really don't know.

Ouch!!! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

It's pretty unusual for a question to go unanswered around here, but it does happen. My best guess is that nobody has a good answer. Once in a while, though, you just have to ask twice. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

For those who missed it, we're looking for a source of grey market tractor parts, as per this post.

(That's as helpful as my mega-ignorance permits. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif)

Oops! In the time it took me to type that, two replies poured in. There's hope yet. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
Edited by Harv on 04/11/01 09:48 AM (server time).

The grey market tractor subjects, being a "grey" area, so to speak for most US model tractor owners, are not all that popular. When specific parts source requests come up, chances are very few people are going to have an answer, since grey market tractor parts sources just aren't all that common to find.

What is this a web site for yuppies that don't know a top link from a hot link?

No. It's the largest gathering of tractor knowledge and experience in the world.

Or are you scared of grey tractors?

Nothing to be scared of, except exactly what you requested. Parts and service, and finding them.

What good is a site if you won't help people.

That's not the case. There are probably fewer than 100 (that is out of 40,000) posts that were questions and not answered here. That's all we do here is help people. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Thanks...

Huh? What the heck is a top link? /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Since I don't even know that how can I help you mpinosa? /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif All kidding aside if people don't know the answer to a question then they wouldn't reply. Better luck now that you got some attention.

Scared?!? Yuppie?!? Legal?!@? Did you try re-posing again? I noticed your profile does not list any tractors. (or anything for that matter)

I've been reading TBN for months now and all I have seen IS helpfull people and professionals WITH answers and GOOD advice!!

I truly believe that if you read through the posts and do some searching (learn how to use the site), and give the people on the board more info to work with, YOU WILL GET HELP!!

Steve; Now that you have joined all us yuppies, there is on thing you must remember... never try to trailer the tractor or horses with the Porsche! It slows the Porsche down to much going up hills. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
