A Ferris would be nice. They are about the same price as this diesel. Ferris (I believe) have aluminum non greasable spindles, elec. clutch, and 2 belts.

Ferris Z2100 61" deck ($9,000) has greasable spindles along with other grease fittings and its 25hp Kawasaki engine is pretty easy on fuel.

I love my diesel Kubota B2650 but am not convinced the high rpm diesels used in their ZTR's are as fuel efficient nor as long lasting...

kenmac, no idea in Alabama but I was able to buy a mower without sales tax as it was bought to cut on the farm. Our sales tax is at least 8% so a big savings for here if it is for farm.
As to features and such know Ferris's web site they have at least two spindles, one is cast iron and one is aluminum but those are greaseable. They may also have a sealed one but did not find it.
