Had a F2680e with 60" and 72" decks. Bought it twice. No issues with power or lack of power. If I were buying a new one today I'd buy the F2690 (if it's 4wd) with no hesitation and I live on e steep hillside where climbing power is needed. Also bought two different F3080s with 72" decks and no issues and currently have a small Z and a big Z and a F3080. They each shine in their own way. Do under trees with low hanging branches with the F and higher branches with the Z. Open field (areas) the F is hands down winner in every way.

Pete6114.....any issues with the amount of available power?? Do you a 72 inch deck or a 60 incher? I will never own a zero turn mower...too much work for me to keep it straight! My mc35 New Holland is the same concept as the F series. Back engine, front deck, steering wheel and no levers.

I took the 60 inch deck and have not had any issues at all with any lack of available power whatsoever. I keep it at 2600 RPM when cutting...not even full bore.

I have a zd1211 60" the 25 hp is more than suffices. I bet its fine with the 72" deck.

I mowed some knee high grass at almost full speed without bogging down

As others stated the suspended deck does scalop some in uneven ground. Its better if i pin the front axle but the rides rougher.
I wanted a f mower but didn't like the turning radius. I dont usually do z turns more of a small turn but still gets the same effect. The suspension seat gives a great ride. Much better than the neighbors grasshopper front deck. Front deck is so much better mowing around my pine trees. The option for a snow blower is awesome on the f series.
The 1211 has adjustable damper force i have mine set to lowest resistance it would be fine even lower.

The 25 hp will handle anything the deck will discharge. I don't run out of power till the discharge on the deck starts to plug off..,When that's the case the grass is too long anyway.
