Greetings

I'm looking at buying a zen noy ym1610 sn#02046 from Manning Tractor Fayetteville NC
I have 3 questions. 1. According to my search here and other sites the sn# listed does not corespond to a yn1610 am I being mislead? Has 13 hrs on the meter.
2. Has anyone dealt with Mr Manning before?
3. The price is 8000$ with a FEL and Box blade, should I be running away or is this a good (rebuilt at the factory!) deal?

Rebuilt at WHAT factory? There is no Zennoh factory....Zennoh is a rice/farming cooperative. Yanmar (who makes any Zennoh models starting with YM) does NOT rebuild tractors. Take several hours and search here and elsewhere for vietnam recons. Ask for references (we always send 4-6 to a prospective customer), ask to see parts books (or at least the specific part book for your model---how DO they order parts or make repairs without these? We supply all our customers a copy of this) and ask WHAT factory rebuilt it. Ask to see parts. Ask why his tractors don't have OSHA approved ROPS when they are available for most models now. Ask who makes the loader and where you will get parts if he closes up (happens all the time, owner dies, goes broke, loses interest, etc.). I went to his website....I know what they are, and so will most readers here when they look at the units.

I do not beleive Mr Manning has a web site. However I ws concerned about his answer to who does the rebuild? Well non answer. He did show me a handout out showing some grainy photos of a shop somewhere with oriental appearing workers.
I guess the answer is runnnnnnnn!

It's definitely not a 13 hour tractor. It really should be treated as "used" in my opinion, and a repaint should not justify resetting the hour meter.

I bought a "used" 1510D that was obviously fresh off the boat from Japan. The guy selling it wasn't trying to pass it off as rebuilt, reworked, etc. just a nice clean used tractor. I've run it enough to know that if there was anything major wrong with it, he wouldn't have seen it. I haven't found any issues yet.

Anyways, that price seems awfully steep for what it is. I'd find an importer who is representing them more honestly, perhaps some of the dealers on here. I know that Hoye has gone above and beyond the "call of duty" for me on 3-pt hitch parts, and tech support. There should be no reason to fear a grey market tractor if you know what you're getting into and spend accordingly,

It's easy enough for anyone to find manningtractors.com. Manning Tractors by web bug designs
This is not an endorsement because I know nothing about them. I am just helping you find the web site.

Take a look at my history of posts before even suggesting that I am blowing steam. I do not blow steam, and your lack of ability to navigate the internet does not constitute grounds to even imply such.

Thanks for all the insight. I did not mean to insight discontent here. I did indeed find Mr Mannings site. Thats the fellar in the picture. Has anyone had any dealings with Manning Tractor. For being in business for 20 years I'm sure someone has.
I have not ruled out a purchase just not sure of this dealer. He is a very personable person. So I would like to give him the benifit of doubt.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Not taking anything away from
LMTC I have registered your vote of beware.

I would use due caution when considering this tractor. Does it really have 13 hours on it? No, it doesn't, it was built many years ago. Proabaly 1979-1981 era. There is no Zen-Noh rebuilding factory. Like LMTC said, Zen-Noh is a farmers co-op in Japan. You'll find Kubotas rebadged as Zen-Noh too. Nor is there a Yanmar factory rebuilding these tractors. Reconditioning sometimes includes pieces and parts from several junk tractors put together and then painted somewhere in Viet Nam.
There are dealers importing reconditioned units and dealers importing unreconditioned ones. I've heard more horror stories on the reconditioned units than I have on the 1000+ hour original units.

You could also check out this site for a dealer that will stand behind their tractors.
