I own one Altoz 766i with the more aggressive tracks for mowing our horse farm with creeks, ponds and many hills. Purchase it with the all terrain bush hog deck and removed the swing blades for fixed mulching blades.
It is a beast and will hold slopes great! It track system is very smooth and the front wheels have built in suspension with a great seat. I do 15 acres and it never has had an issue and is about 5 years old. The spindles, belt pulleys are heavy duty and well engineered.

I want a diesel version.
Wondered how hard the tracks are on lawns, too.

It is easy to spend a lot of money cutting grass. But one accident will be a wakeup call.

Glad the OP got the right machine for his needs and he and his wife are happy with it. A mower like that will last a long time and make the job a lot more pleasant. There is value in that.

I would be interested if you would post a review. Has Altoz published an official slope rating?

Altzo sells a slope meter that mounts tot he platform in front off your feet so you can view it during operations.
Has green, yellow, and red zones. Yellow max's out at 30 degrees and that feels pretty steep as an angle to cut on. I did add on to my machine and normally my hills are green and the max I cut is 25- 28 degrees.
The aggressive tracks will tear up the grass if you pull a 180 turn at the end of the row, if you are careful when turning not much more damage than ZTR.
Rides great on rough ground, has a two speed hydro, normal cutting in low and high for transport.
I have the rear discharge non baffled deck and it does a good job as a finished mower.

I love the mover and previously had a Grasshopper front mount with the 29hp Kubota liquid cooled gas engine and 66" wide deck with traction tires. The Altoz is a much better machine for my property.

I considered the Altoz when I was mower shopping but, I didn’t have any dealers near me and the ones that were within 3 hours, never had any inventory. During the time I was looking, it seemed like Altoz had a larger presence in the Midwest and east coast.

I have the best slope machine for my hills. A Steiner 420. They are rated the best. But the truth is I don't use it on the slopes. The Simplicity Citation XT with a 1000lb weight and a 61" deck do the job easily and not dangerously.

Mowing season is here and we're in the new place with 15~ acres of grass. I'm using my Yanmar with a woods RD990 for most of it, but there are areas that are too tight, and the the sides of the long driveway that has somewhat of a ditch. There are also some sloped areas and a lot of pond bank that I'm just not comfortable running the big tractor on. We have a homeowner model Hustler, but purchased it to mow about an acre, and it's undersized for what we need here. Doing a lot of online research, I decided on a Cub Cadet Pro Z 972S, or 960S as they seem to be really good a holding slopes. Here's where the challenge comes in: My wife does most of the mowing around the house, which gets mowed more often than the pastures. Since she does a lot of the mowing, she gets a little say in the mower choice. Went over to the dealer Friday and looked over the Cub Cadet and she took it for a spin in the parking lot and she doesn't like the seat, feels too big to her. I suggested that I could get a cushion or something but she doesn't like that idea either. I know a seat may sound trivial, but in this case it's not. So now I'm shopping again for a mower (ZTR) and would like suggestions.

There are 3 dealers relatively close to me that I have good experiences with and between them they carry:
Cub Cadet
Toro
Grasshopper
Dixie Chopper
Hustler
Kubota
Wright

That's not to say that I won't consider another brand, but I'm comfortable with those dealers
Go nuts and get a ventrac
