zero turn mower

An update on my decision. I have tried a kubota ZD 1011 with a 54 " deck with the idea I would also get a belly mower for my "B" series tractor for heavier mowing jobs. I have changed my mind. First I found the ZD 1011 to be a great mower but not quite as solid as my old ZD 1800 which has faithfully served me for 10 years and still looks and runs great. Additionally I spent three hours on my tractor yesterday and realized that long on it is not good for my back. So no belly mower for the tractor, I'm keeping my zd1800 for at least a while and getting a new ZD 1211 with a 60 " deck for the heavier mowing .

Reason is it is truly a commercial built unit, has a better seat than even the ZD 1011 and things like the maint. Lift are standard . Also on the zd1200 series the LED gauge cluster gives more engine information
This may be overkill for most of my uses but I'm so impressed with the durability of my zd1800 that I want the same "overkill " build quality in my new purchase plus the Benefit of a truly comfortable and supportive seat as well as several features that make periodic service easier. Hope this helps others on the fence

Sounds like a smart move. I'm a big believer in the old adage of "Buy once, cry once." In the long term, it's usually cheaper to spend a little more and buy what you really need.

Congrats. And please post pics when you get it.
