I know its been awhile since i have been on the forum. but I havent decided which ZTR to get. I liked the CC Z50 but since its commercial/residential mower. I decided to look commercially. I like the Z500 series of Toro. i think i can get one around 7,000.00 brand new / however i stopped into a kuboto/lazer Z. I was offered a 2003 or 2004 my choice diesel 21/60 for 5,000. however there is no warranty. What should I do........... I dont think i have a hustler dealer around here. EasternShore of Maryland area. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif oh I forgot my yard is almost 4 acres plus i cut almost 7 to 9 acres on the side.......

12 acres?! I'd say you definitely need a true commercial unit instead of the commericial/residential units. At least a couple respectable machines are sure to be represented in your area (no Hustler?, what about Ferris/Simplicity/Snapper, SCAG, CubCadet [M60 Tank, not the ZF50 or M50], Exmark, Country Clipper, Dixon, probably a dozen others I'm forgetting). Just remember most have residential units, commercial units and many have everything in between too!

The nice thing about most of the commercials is they're all pretty stout [actually my experience is limited to a few brands, but never seen poor quality in those and with a 1000lb lawn mower you know there's some steel in it so a quick view of the welds ect. will tell if the worksmanship matches]. If you're looking for a certain feature (joystick or twin; flip-up deck; striping; antiscalp rollers; engine preference...........) then maybe one or another will become more attractive.

Can you post how many hours and condition on the Kubota Diesels? I don't know what their lifespan is, but am sure somebody could give you some ideas where expenses might lie.

Good Luck! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
