Zero Turn Tires: Kenda Terra Trac or Carlisle Versa Turf

I'm certainly open to other suggestions.

When you say "bar type" I assume that you mean something like the Carlisle AT101? I saw many good reviews on those, but they don't come in a size that I could make work. The only size with a 12" rim is also 12" wide, and I don't think my machine has enough clearance.
I have Carlisle R1 tires on my Hustler ZTR. They are wider and hit the mower slightly so I put 4 flat washers on the studs first, then the rim. That set each wheel out ½", which was enough to prevent contact.
That was perhaps 15 years ago, haven't had any tire problems so far, well, the R1 tread is worn down about half now. My issue is making spot turns tears up grass;l had to modify my mowing style.
Otherwise I really like their performance.

My expensive lesson was that the width of the tires and the track width of the drive wheels has more to do with performance on side slopes than tread design. It's in the leverage.
I'm not saying that tread design has no effect it just may not be enough. It wasn't in my case.
On a steep slope, mowing sideways, it helps to operate a ZTR so it travels crab-like. I can't do that with my R1 tires, tears up grass.
