I have a unheated shop and sometimes when we have a sudden warm up after a really cold spell everything sweats. So I try to wipe down what I can and spray every thing with WD40.
That's the problem I have a couple of day's a year, sweating. I call them swamp day's. It's usually in the dead of summer so I have all my garage doors open and it's like a unseen fog bank sets in. Next thing I know everything is covered in dew. Not a problem with chrome plated tools but parts, machine shop tooling and impact sockets don't fare so well.
ArTrvlr - I use a combination of their products. Mainly I use the little paper chips. In some of my cabinets where I keep machine shop indicators and gauges I use the larger packs and last year I got a roll of the VCI treated cord to stick inside the DOM tubing I use to make roll cages.
