I'm replacing the loader valve for my ZL-20 loader. I've got all of the hydraulic fittings worked out and am making my own JIC female hoses using reusable ends, up to the point of the hard line connections on the boom. Reading through previous posts I know these are some type of "old style" or "new style" metric male ends on the hard lines. I haven't removed a hose from one yet to determine which style, but I'm assuming "old style" since my Jinma 254 and old POS block-style loader valve are both 2005 year models. I would like to adapt the hard line metric male end to a 3/8" JIC male.
I have probably overlooked it but I couldn't find where anyone has positively identified the type of male metric fitting on the "old" and "new" style hard line ends. The answer is typically "buy the valve upgrade kit that Ranch Hand Supply sells." But, I've already got a nice American-made valve, bulk hose and all the other fittings. Another answer someone came up with was to weld the old hose fitting onto a JIC adapter, which is functional but like my rusted-out factory valve, not very pretty. Discount Hydraulic Hose has a variety of female metric to male JIC adapters, but I'm not sure which one to get. Any insight out there?
