I read a bit on here about quick hitches....and being a little on the "frugal side"....I decided to buy the #$%^& HF Quick Hitch first. After fooling around with it and spending considerable time to do a make-over on the hitch and spending more money for hardware changes (in order to make my implements fit) not to mention the #$%^&* hook that don't line up with anything........I decided to give up on the HF quick hitch and admit defeat. I bought the Pats cat 1 for my JD790 and now I think I will be a happy camper. Pat threw in the extra needed bent washer "thingies" with my order and the installation was a breeze. Good instructions...with pictures....mabye 15 minutes. Haven't had a chance to use them much yet, or do implement changes....But...I can tell a good product when I see it...and this is a well done product. Looks like a terrific solution. :) Thanks Pat.

OH....and I'm still "frugal" I made my own "spreader bar" from some rod and a tube in an hour or so...and saved a few dollars....lol.

Maybe my HF hitch will work for a log skidder?

I think Ill be doing that on my wifes tractor. She hit a bump the other day with a heavy implement and it fell to the ground. Something broken inside. That extra leverage on the tractor never seemed a good idea. Im just about ready to go inside and see what it is.

Larry, I don't envy you going to check out what's wrong right now.
It must be colder than heck in you side of town!
It was the rocker arm that controls the rocker shaft that broke. I got it apart on a warm day and waited 3wks for another "warm" day to put it back together. I sized up the implications of arm shortening as you did and decided against it. The 30HP Kubotas seem to have the arm pivots set so narrow at the tractor end that they must angle outward severely to accomodate the implement pin spacing. The ball end areas are back bent to come out with a straight approach at normal pin spacing, but these areas are too short to shorten. The only place to shorten is already severely angled out and shortening there would make it that much more acute. I see no solution other than transferring the Pats to the 25HP Kub that cant handle the heavy implements anyway. I guess I could cut the outer ends of the L3450 arms off and just weld the Pats on at the proper angle!

Interesting. I have the PEC system on two tractors; one Cat 1 and one Cat 2. Using the standard shims that came with the PEC, I was easily able to achieve an installation angle what was parallel to the centerline; 26" separation on the Cat 1 and 32" separation on the Cat 2. Perhaps you should contact Pat about missing and/or additional shims?

I dont have any problem with the angle on the unmodified arms. The problem is that the Pats lengthen the arms and cause more leverage on the tractor and broke one of ours due to this. I was discussing cutting and shortening the arms to get them to stock length including the Pats.

Will these work on a Kubota L3940 with telescopic links?

I ordered my PEC last Saturday night. It shipped MONDAY, arrived Wednesday, installed today in about 30 minutes, crystal clear instructions.

Made hook-up a whole lot easier.

Thanks Pat!

I just ordered a pair online last Sunday myself, they were sitting on the front porch when I got home today (Wed). Of course, from Kentucky to SC is not that long a haul for UPS. It'll be this weekend before I get to try them though. I'm a little bit concerned about using them now after reading that the 4" offset can cause problems with the lift on the 3pt hitch. :(

pats easy change sounds like a nice product. I purchased a Johndeere imatch system and it works great. The onlt problem is it doesnt fit the rototiller.:( I even had to have a new bar welded to my boxblade to make the imatch system hook up to it. The reason I bought the imatch was since I am only 13 years old, I had a hard time hooking up to my 200 pound boxblade. I bought the imatch for $225 so I could hook up to my grandpa's 2210 Johndeere tractor and spinning non PTO arena harrow. It also was to make it easier for my grandpa to hook up to implements and go without trying to mucle the implement into place. I might think of purchasing one of Pats Easy Change Systems for my dads 3720 johndeere.

Just wanted to check in on the thread. I bought Pat's Easy Change 8 months ago, and it has been a great aditiona to my tractor.

Today I dropped a landscape rake and picked up the box blade in about 10 minutes (could have done it much quicker if I was in a hurry). I did not have to fight with either implement. I set down the landscape rake, released the top link, set the rake stand, unlocked the Pat's clamps, drove over to the box blade, made a slight adjustment to the Pat spacer bar, backed up under the box blade, raised the 3-point hitch arms to clamp onto the box blade, lowered box blade to line up top link, hooked up top link, away I went.

No struggle, no fighting to insert pins....I am a fan.

Just ordered my quick attachments yesterday at 2:30 p.m., they arrived at 12:30 p.m. next day. I installed in about 45 minutes and I think they are gonna be great. I've hooked them up to my scraper blade w/ no issue, but haven't pulled it yet.
