I mentioned a few weeks ago that after a colon examination my specialist told me at the time I had colon cancer....turns out I don't have.....the biopsy came back clear.... it's still classed as pre cancer and I must still go into the hospital to have a two hour operation to remove a section of bowel containing an odd lookin' small non cancerous tumor/polyps plus surrounding lymph nodes.... I know this is way off topic....

but I felt I needed to thank all you guys who were praying for me....I have to say that now I'm a firm believer and that your prayers worked.... I'm ever so glad to have people/members like all you guys here on TBN who rooted for my well being <> take care Ampa <> :)

That is great news! We'll keep praying and expect a good report from the surgery.

Good News, Thank the Lord for answered prayers!! Will they be doing the removal with the scope or will it require a incision? Ken Sweet

That's great news! I've had non-cancerous polyps removed in each of 3 colonoscopies in the past, but nothing requiring the surgery you're facing. But it sounds like good news all the way, and we'll pray it continues to be so.

Thanks guys....as to your question Ken.... no scope on this one.... only the long insision from my groin up to my belly button....surgeon tells me this is an unusal type tumor...I always thought there was something different about myself :D I had to sign something about them wanting to keep something.....if they can study this section of large bowel and learn something from it....and it will help others in the future...I'm all for it......

I was still a little bit scared of hearing the operation is still the only way to remove it .... also bein' this the first time in my whole life that I was ever cut open..... you guys are helpin' me over come this fear.......I really thought they'd wait until after Christmas and Newyears...I'll either be goin' the end of this week..... or next week for sure..surgeon will be connecting it back so everything will be normal...I'll be on the mend for quite awhile.. my surgeon told me the inside stitching takes a bit of time to heal with a 3 % chance of any complications....take care Ampa <>:)

I have had the colon resection about 13 years ago when my colon ruptured. I had to have the colostomy bag for 4 months afterward and then another surgery to sew the colon back together and remove the bag. My wife had colon cancer and has also had this same surgery about 12 years ago. So far all is fine with both of us. As a follow up we have Cat scans done about every 3 years. You will be fine.
