Several of the guys on here, including myself, have recently purchased this grapple. I am really enjoyng mine. There are several threads and pics on the subject. Did you talk to her about the couplings? I think the hoses come with couplings to fit a skid steer unless you ask for them to be removed. They'll knock $50 dollars off but will not add any tractor couplings.
Good Luck

I just purchased one as well. I actually didn't think I'd get any use out of it during the snow season but wanted it here for spring. Since it's been warm and no snow I used it for a few hours here and there and it's pretty good. Tell them to take the flat face couplers off and leave the hoses and they'll take $50 off the price. Cost me about $100 for couplers, hoses and such to get it to the front and I'm just using my rear remotes for now. So far it seems to do what I want it to and it's not very heavy which is nice. Picked up several branch piles as well as a few oak logs that were about 16"-18" in diameter and had no problem. I ordered on a Monday and it was ready for delivery here first thing Wednesday morning!

I use my grapple almost as much as any other piece of equipment I have. I know it is well worth the money particularly the price you received. My Markham unit was about 400 more.
I use it to haul wood, clean brush, remove saplings, haul water tank from spring, and (do not tell safety police)at times a man lift. You will really enjoy it.

The grapple comes with 3/8" NPT male so I got 3/8 couplers, reduced to 1/4" for the hoses going to the rear remotes which are 1/2" couplers reduced to 1/4 to the hoses. I measured mine and I needed just over 14.5 feet of hose so I just ordered a pair of 180" x 1/4 hoses from them and it works great.

I have no rear remotes, so i was thinkin of getting a 3rd. function valve from ted & installing it myself.

pros & cons on this idea. ? seems it would be easier than installing rear remotes.

i have read that some have got the 48" with two cylinders, i asked connie about this & she said they tried it & it did not work out the 48" is to small for two.

i`ll ask again, wed.

I just ordered the 48" rock grapple today and deleted the skid steer flat face connectors. Tractors normally use Pioneer connections (often 1/2). TSC sells them locally for a decent price. May want to order or get a Pioneer Double Breakaway clamp (part# 5006-4). This clamps lets you clamp the fittings into a bracket so you can plug your bucket/grapple lines in and out without hoses swinging around. Also gives you a nice SOLID mounting point

I just purchased the 48" Econo grapple this morning. It should be here on Friday. I'll be using it on my NH 3045. I have 45 acres of woods to play in! Can't wait!
