    Brake pedal return spring

My brake pedal is not returning to it's proper position on my CT230. I have to reach down and pull up on the pedal to release the brakes each time. The service manual mentions a "brake pedal return spring" but doesn't show it in any of the diagrams. Anybody know where it's located? Thanks.

Repair Common Kioti Mechanical Injection Pump Failure

Thanks for all the great information. I just did this repair on my CT230 and followed the instructions from 2881neches. The area I did differently was that I never completely removed the control rack. I always left at least on control sleeve engaged with the rack so that I didn't loose the...

    Ballast box design

Sounds good, but just a suggestion. If you are going to permenatly fill it with concrete why not just skip the steel and build a wooden form and just cast the cube. If I where to remake this one I would use a drawbar with a 2" receiver and the tubes for tools as you suggested.

Leveling a spot for a new pool

    Transfering cement

Has anyone ever used their FEL to transfer cement from the truck to form. I've done this lots of times with a wheel barrow but the tractor would be way easier on my back.

    Removing my FEL

Hi all, I've had my CT230 for almost 3 years now and have never taken the FEL off. I just purchased a 72" KK rear finish mower and plan to use it to mow most of my 4 acre yard this summer. I'm trying to decide if I should take the loader off each time I mow, I don't have alot of things to mow...

    What grade of gas?

Does anybody run super unleaded in there lawn tractor? I have a JD X324 lawn tractor with about 150 hrs on it and it just quick running. It's on its way to the dealer today to get looked at but I'm almost possitive it's a fuel issue. Is the higher grade gas better for these engines or would I...

    Dual Axle trailers

Typically do dual axle trailers have brakes on both axles? I'm replacing the axles on a 16' landscape trailer. The existing axles didn't have brakes. I plan on getting 2 3500lb axles but not sure if they both need brakes. Thanks

    Boat winch wiring

My father has a electric winch on his boat trailer and I'd like to wire my truck so that I can run the winch. He ran 8 gauge wire from his truck battery to the back of the bed with an inline 30amp fuse, from there he plugs in a pigtail from the winch. I could do the same on my truck but would...

    Mastering the FEL controls

When you watch a professional operator run a loader or backhoe they do mostly "multi axis movements" like rolling back the bucket and lifting at the same time. I've been trying to do this with my CT230 without much success. Seems real hard to find that sweet spot in the corners of the joystick...

My Tractor came to a sudden stop....

My son was using the tractor yesterday and it just stalled. Now it won't start. He was just driving it down the driveway and bam. Tractor clicks but won't turn over. I checked the pto switch, all the fuses, tank is full. Maybe a bad seat switch? Any ideas? Thanks Steve CT230 (42 hrs)

    First Tractor Repair

I have to make my first tractor all be it a minor one. I bent the bucket level indicator. I hooked it on tree limb while moving some rocks. Since I had my camera out I took some pictures of my tractor mods so far. I added two bucket hooks which makes moving big rocks that won't fit in the...

    Removing bucket from CT230

Has anyone detached there pin on bucket? I would like to take my bucket to a welder that I know to have a couple bucket hooks welded on. It appears to have a retaining bolt at each pin on the inside of the loader arms....so take out the bolt and tap the pin out from the inside. Am I assuming...

    Fast dump?

I have noticed the that it takes a long time to "dump" the bucket on my CT230. When its cold its about 10 seconds and after it warms up its about 6 seconds. Is this typical with all the other 230 owners? The manual doesn't give cycle times for the loader. All the other tractors that I've used...

    2 bottom plow conversion

I've been looking for a good deal on a 2 bottom plow to pull behind my CT230. Well I might have found one....in my back yard. This plow was half buried in the ground and covered with brush on the back property line. I considered rebuilding and using it as it was designed I would have needed a...
