    DIY Fire Starter’s

I also have saved egg cartons through the year and then use cotton balls (to lazy to collect lint) and candles that my wife is getting rid of, or find some cheap ones at a good will. Make a bunch at one time and cut them up and keep in a galvanized bucket next to the wood stove.

    Tip of the day.

This one I learned from a friend when I bought a car from him and he had a couple airline barf bags in the glove box. He kept them there due to the 10 second gap between a kid saying "I don't feel good" and throwing up in the car. I took a couple from a few flights and have kept them in the...

They are boostering the State Fair being held this week

I like it! I had not been for years... Until I picked up a few old tractors and joined an antique tractor club with some friends. Now I like the fair because we take a selection of old tractors and everyone walks by and talks about their Dad's / Uncle's / Grampa's tractor that was just like...

    snow blade rubber edge help

I think most of the composite / plastic deck boards are mostly recycled polyethylene. Home Depot has a 15/16" X 5 1/2" X 8 foot board for $20. Maybe someone could bolt one on and let us know how it compares to the polyurethane and polyethylene edges that are ~ 5 - 10x the cost? Just a thought...

How to tell which model hydrant?

Some advice I got from the supply house where I purchased my hydrants was to use a 5 gallon bucket when putting it in the ground. I cut or drill a hole in the lid and slide it up on the hydrant. Then I cut the bottom of the bucket out and the slit the side up about 1/3 to 1/2 way and cut a...

Dual Wall HDPE Culvert vs Metal?

Put in HDPE. It will be good with your plans for normal driveway traffic. If you are worried about heavy traffic for a short time or one time drive then you could build up over the culvert with a "bump" to distribute some of the load and then after.

    $!#& Chain Hooks

For situations like this (where it needs to stay together until there is tension) I always use a few wraps of electrical tape. It is about 50 cents a roll at harbor freight...

using your tractor to pull a tree over

Orezok explained it well. Here is a diagram that explains block and tackle (pulley system). The idea (with all simple machines) is that you keep the same work (force X distance). In this case much more distance (length) for less force. These were used a lot before we could use diesel and gas...

    Foam filled tires...

My thoughts (for what they are worth) are that some of the benefits that the tire provides (cushion and shock absorption as well as traction by forming to the ground ect) are lost with foam tires. I have seen these (on the internet) on some new equipment and seem to be the best of both worlds.

    Welding Table. 20" adjustable height.

I like it! Maybe a 2 piece shaft lock color on the threads to keep it in place?

What is user UNFRIENDLY on your tractor?

Oh, and I also have found the tumblers work great in the cup holder. I just use the cheap Walmart (Ozark) one.

    Air Comb for Air Filter?

Has anyone used one of these to blow out an air filter? I am thinking of getting or making one to simplify maintenance. Thoughts? I searched and could not find any information on the forum. Please redirect me if this is on another thread. Thanks -Shawn Amazon.com: Innovative Products of...

    Everything Attachments

I also have been watching these posts. My thoughts are that I am even more inclined to do business with EA after watching someone with a "bad experience". I appreciate Travis putting himself out there for questions, advice and comments, both the good and the bad. I will soon be ordering a...
