What is the dumbest thing you have done with your equipment ?

When trying to get the loader back on my bx somehow the attachment points on loader fell down below the attachment points on the tractor. Took about 45 minutes to get it back on. Not sure how that happened other that I was on asphalt with slight hill and usually put it back on on level ground...

    Plugged front tire

I got a puncture in the front tire on my bx while bush hogging. Was able to take the rim/tire off and use a tire plug repair kit and then finish up the bush hogging. Should I expect the tire to last for a long time or should I go ahead and get it replaced? Will keep an eye on the air pressure...

    importance of position control

Ive been wandering lately what difference position control on the 3 pt. hitch makes. I've noticed that the B seriers tractors now have it, but the bx series still do not. My main use would be box blading or using a land plane to smooth out areas of the yard . I also plan to get a tiller and...

    BX 2370 temp gauge

Was out mowing some tall grass this afternoon and noticed the temp gauge got up to 4 bars. It ususally stays within the 3 bar range while mowing but I guess the taller grass put it up another bar. I cleared the radiator screen which had a little grass. When is it time to get concerned or...

Snap ring for Bush hog shaft.

I took the PTO shaft off to shorten it on the bandsaw and this involved removing a snap ring. I wasn't able to get the snap ring back on and wound up breaking it. I measured the gearbox shaft with a micrometer and it is close to 1-3/8 inches. This may be a dumb question but if the shaft is...

    DPF

Just watched a video of tractor time with tim on youtube. He went to a dealer that had mahindras in the higher hp range that didn't require DPF. He may have looked at some Massey Ferguson's that didn't require them as well. What is up with that? Will Kubota be coming out with tractors above...

    Kubota Bx question

I have noticed a few times that while mowing uphill in fairly thick grass that the RPM's have dropped from about 3400 to 3100 or so and return to 3400 at the top of the hill or in thinner grass. I noticed that it does this in high gear but not really in low. This is a pretty much new Kubota bx...
