2305 with 47" 2 stage snowblower question

   / 2305 with 47" 2 stage snowblower question #112
Been glancing a all the posts.. I only seen one person mention what RPM they were running blower..
Mid PTO is 2100 rpm not 27 like the rear..
Last winter mine had vibrations ,but I noticed if I ran tractor somewhere around 2300 ..Yes there is still vibration not near what it was when running at the 27-28 rpm.
As for blowing snow I couldn't tell any difference if at higher or lower rpm.

Et,

You pretty sure of that? I thought I did a fair job reading my manual and don't remember seeing that. Not that I couldn't have missed it, but I thought pto speed was pto speed front or rear.

I agree with JCB this is a misreading of the manual. The standard rotation speed of the mid-PTO shaft is 2100 rpm. So at engine speed of 2900 rpm, the rear PTO shaft is turning 540 rpm and the mid/front PTO shaft is turning 2100 rpm. That is a standard speed for Deere mid-PTO shaft.

From the manual:

NOTE: The tachometer indicates a standard 540 PTO at an engine speed of 2900 rpm.

Mid PTO speed will be 2100 rpm at the 540 PTO marker on the tachometer.

If I can remember there is only 1 place in manual where it states m pto is 2100 and rear 2900
The only reason why I noticed this my brother has a 2720 and his shows this on dash of 2 different rpm speeds.
Today using blower and no difference in snow distance if running 2100-23-2500 or 2900 ...More vibration of course at 25 and 2900.. Same for mowing this summer I mowed most of the summer at 21-2300 rpm.

The only place PTO speed is mentioned is where it states the PTO shaft speed is 2100 rpm, not the engine speed. When the engine speed is 2900 rpm you can run mid, rear, or both at the same time and both will have their correct speed, 2100 mid and 540 rear. There are implement combinations where you want to run both. That's why the PTO speeds of 2100 mid and 540 rear are standards.

Mid PTO speed will be 2100 rpm at the 540 PTO marker on the tachometer.
The tachometer indicates a standard 540 PTO at an engine speed of 2900 rpm.
