nOOb update

Installed a couple 3" spacers. One jack under the tow bar/diff seemed to work better than I suspected. Couldn't imagine dealing with filled tires for more reasons than I could post. FEL indicator, 3pt Q, toolbox, stuff the dealer left off.

With ballast box on 3ph QA the machine feels solid. Doing basic tractor learning/thinking. remove/setup bucket, forks, ballast, parking in shop (10# junk in 5# bag LOL)

Removed a couple 4" stumps w forks FEL chains, move large potted plants on pallets w/forks, a little dirt work.

So far, go slow, situational awareness, watch closely and learn to be more delicate on controls.

ETA: forgot pic of dealer left off item!

;)How do you like the Honda Rally?
Both are great bikes (one has all the goodies for my short butt).

The pit bike gets started more often ;)

I understand what you're saying as I used to feel the same way. Yet even with 180 lbs of wheel weights per rear tire and my 600 lb winch on back I find myself lifting the rear more than I care to. The tires are too weather cracked to justify the expense of loading yet when I replace them the new ones will be.

My BIL told me I should get a 'handicapped' tag for my car so I can park up front and I told him I don't want one so long as I can walk, I'm good. I do walk with a limp but it don't really bother me. Besides, I see people abuse that all the time and I'm not an abuser, never have been. If I need that, I'll be staying home not out driving.

Just how I roll.
Good for you. Apparently some states (Florida being one) are pretty lax about who they'll give handicap cards to. A childhood friend of mine who lives there convinced his doctor to sign for one solely on the basis that he's over 70. Nothing wrong with him.

The whole fatialist safety (especially "public safety") thing that drowns us in beauracy and unnecesary expense has become out of hand. A few of the other guys have said it pretty well. If it looks wrong it is and if it looks like it might, it will and if you can make it a little better, just do it.

Being safe means you have taken a little extra time to do the extras that keep it all from coming apart.

"It'll do for now" is a great thing but like anything it doesn't apply to everything. In general the whole post 911 saftey craze over complicates everything so you have to read between the lines and understand what is important and what is fluff and showboating. Its like the old carpenters saying, measure twice, cut once. Always take a minute to check your work as you go.
Yep for sure , worked with electricity along time ago for a living , Never had a problem working live as I treated everything as if was out to kill me , When they started on the never work live mantra to the youngons' That's when the accidents started to happen cause instead of going cautiously into the work ."duh its off mentality kicked in " and well good work habits went out the window , and well just cause someone told ya it was dead don't mean it's dead and hey its still live I can't work on it just don't cut it sometimes as you have no idea where its being fed from and thousands of dollars a minute is being lost in down production time .

Just a side note. If your well is actually in your well house - then the storage of any type petrochemical in the well house is not a good idea. Even a minor fuel leak can contaminate a well.

Even just fumes would be bad. That and pressure switches arc when they open & close.

The well is not in the "well house", only the tank/bladder, softener, UV sterilizer, irrigation controls. The well head 30' away feeds the "well house". There is a pressure switch on the tank/bladder.

Agree, not ideal for mowers, lawn tractor, zero turn and gas storage, just what it was built for, gotta be careful and stay awake ;)
