BX25 Kubota
Tough Little Kubota!
Model Year: 2011

We are a commercial beef farm and own over 250 acres. Here at the house we have about 2 acres with a small barn to care for some of our livestock. We use this Kubota for mowing, cleaning out the barn, moving things around the yard and landscaping. I burn about 25 face cords of wood in our outside wood boiler and use the BX25 to scoop up and put the wood on the concrete near the boiler in the fall and it does the job very quickly. We also installed a huge in-ground pool a couple of years ago and did all the back filling with it. After clearing a woodlot, I seeded and fertilized the 30 acres with this Kubota because I was able to go around and in between the stumps. It is nimble but quick, smooth, and very powerful for it's size. It's also been trouble free and I've really worked it much harder than I've ever expected to when I purchased it. You will be very happy with this tractor!

Pros: Quick, powerful and very reliable.
Cons: After 600 hrs on it, I really still can't think of any.

Traded in my BX23 after 10 years and this Kubota out-performs in all respects.

BX25 Kubota
Kill Switches (Safety Switches)
Model Year: 2009

Shortly after buying, the tractor stopped dead. After many hours and burning out my gauges by accident, I discovered the issue was the safety switches under the seat (I had checked those earlier and they looked fine, and unplugged and re-plugged them, but something was not "quite perfect". My chance, eventually I did "wiggle the right place! I found your help regarding "fuel filter" issues very useful! Fixed my slow running/cutting out issues! Terrible, cheap design! Yep, Kubota saved $1 and created room for competitors to move customers to them and away from Kubota! "Save a $1, lose $100 million!" (hmm).

Pros: It works.
Cons: Small issues that really are not small!

Surprised Me
Model Year: 2014

For a small machine it continually amazes me by being capable of doing anything I make it do. It is the right size for our property (6 acres) and fits into places larger tractors won't.

Pros: Size, price, terms, reputation.
Cons: Have not found any yet, the seat is somewhat a problem.

Great Great Great
Model Year: 2014

I have used a lot of tractors in my day. I have to say that the BX 25 is a great built tractor. It works great for what it was built for.

Pros: Good build all around.
Cons: Turning the seat around for the backhoe.

BX25 Kubota
Doesn't Know How Small It Is
Model Year: 2012

This machine is everything it is advertised and more. The backhoe dug out what a friend's Deere 760 could not. That tractor is a class bigger and could not dig out what this little monster did. The loader lifts more than I could have hoped for. I have a lot of rock and had some 4-ft. round rock that probably weighed around 5 to 600 pounds. This machine got it up off the ground about a foot and moved it well. I am glad I got a better deal on the BX instead of the 1 series Deere.

Pros: Hydraulic horsepower is excellent.
Cons: Maybe the color if you don't like orange?

BX25 Kubota
Hydraulic Power
Model Year: 2011

The machine always starts. It can't lift the load with the bucket while pushing into a pile because they only use one hydraulic pump to run steering, transmission and hydraulics. The hydraulic controls are vague and sloppy. Front tire was flat when delivered by Pine Bush Equipment and it kept going flat until it was fixed. Front steering mechanism is exposed to damage if you get into deep dirt or other material where rocks can hit it or other environmental hazards---it is too low to the ground. No valve stem guards on the rims.

Pros: The machine always starts.
Cons: Hydraulic power is lacking to the point of being unreliable.

Bad Tractor
Model Year: 2013

Worked great the first 2 1/2 months. It has been in the driveway the last three waiting on parts (bad service).

Pros: .
Cons: Bad manufacturing.

Baby Bota
Model Year: 2009

I should have bought this tractor when I first started looking at it. What a saver of time and body! Have purchased many attachments which keeps adding to it's usefulness. It's my trailer mover/road grader/dirt digging/snow plowing and pile moving/leaf and weed hauling/fork lifting/beach groomer.

Pros: Can't say enough good about this little (big) helper.
Cons: Sometimes wish it was bigger...

BX25 Kubota
Best Purchase Ever
Model Year: 2010

Wish I would have purchased a lot sooner. This tractor does it all: dug out tree stumps bigger than tractor (taking a little extra time of course); and the boulders this machine will move and bury, run landpride 1042 tiller with ease, moves gravel and crush stone bets using shovel.

Pros: Tough machine.
Cons: None so far.

Kubota BX25: 5 Year Review
Model Year: 2008

Well it's been 5 years now since new purchase and the "Baby Bota'" is still going strong. The BX has never had to go back to the dealer for any problems at all! I did bust a lower radiator hose and tail light lenses but repaired myself. The only problems I have had are: * MMM lift linkage would not lock in Top position - Found a bolt had vibrated off where linkage mounts to frame - easy fix. * Rear axle seal by left wheel came out and lost almost all hyd. fluid. Believe debris (I was doing heavy brush cutting) got jammed against it and popped it out. Luckily I noticed it before any other damage. Managed to just pound the seal back in place and coated with ATV. 100 hrs ago and still working fine with no leaks. * Seat has a couple rips on edges and foam is showing * Removed floor mat and noticed minor rust (never liked that design anyway) so removed mat and coated with spray on truck bedliner - looks and works fine now. Believe me I have really worked this little tractor and it does everything (almost) that I have thrown at it. Really surprised me at how well it has held up! It is a small tractor and if you don't have the backhoe or other attachment on the back you will not have very much traction. Other than that this little thing can brush cut, mow, dig holes, grade, chip (Wallenstein BX42) and knock down small trees and bushes (Pirannah Toothbar), tow and haul loads that would amaze you. Plus, since it's small, it takes up little space in the barn and can get in tight spaces that the big boy's can't. It get's my 2 thumbs up!

Pros: Small size, super reliable.
Cons: Initial cost.

BX25 Kubota
One Year In
Model Year: 2012

I've used this regularly now for a year, and love it more and more. Pat myself on the back for picking the right machine for the job! I have dug nearly a thousand feet of drainage in rock infested New England Soil, stumped out a dozen trees, mowed acres of lawn, placed toms of fill and of wood chips, and regularly raked a peastone drive. The backhoe has been extremely impressive for what it can do. Attachments are fairly easy to add and remove. The loader is weak but for the size of tractor, good. It only disappoints me with the forks attached or when attempting to lift and move larger landscaping rocks.

Pros: Dependable to the max!
Cons: Swivel seat is a PITA. Chaning oil filter is also. But fitting this much goodness into a small package means taking some minor compromises.

Great Product!
Model Year: 2011

I have used my BX for just about everything. I made a ripper tooth and a mechanical thumb for it. Both are great for removing stumps and then stacking up the cut up trees for milling. For the size of the BX, it has really amazed me. I would recommend this tractor to anyone wanting one. Excellent on fuel and awesome power.

Pros: Perfect size tractor for my use.
Cons: None at this time.

The Kubota BX25
Model Year: 2009

This is an amazing piece of equipment. It has allowed me to do things which would never have been possible without it's power and strength. It has transformed a back yard space into a private escape from the dull existence of living in a suburb. If you have a lot or small space, and want to do anything of consequence you have to have the right tool for the job and this is most certainly one of those tools. Was so helpful around home I purchased a big piece of equipment from Kubota for bigger jobs.

Pros: Power, size, dependability.
Cons: Transition from digging with backhoe, to moving forward with bucket. Just a manual process, but not hard.

BX25 Kubota
Little Tractor With a Big Heart
Model Year: 2011

This Kubota BX25 has extended my life and happiness. I've never asked this tractor to do something that might get us both into trouble. The performance has been outstanding. I use it for firewood logging, snow removal, digging fence post holes, concrete sono tube forms, and as a parade vehicle when I want to visit my distant neighbors. I've done my own maintenance but will have the dealer do the 800 hour servicing. Will add a snowplow and quick attach assembly to make switching out front attachments. The tires are half worn now. Will add tubes to the front tires in the spring or sooner if air leaks. At -20 F. degrees in winter the fronts lose air. I keep the tractor in a heated garage out of the elements. Have changed out a couple of grease fittings but bought a kit at northern tool and the Kubota grease fitting installer. Added work lights which light up the night. I need a small tractor to get into the woods to harvest firewood. Anything larger would not work well. No problems at all with this tractor. I may upgrade the seat to the new style with armrests. The seat belt retractor rubber cover on the left side of the seat has torn. No big deal. I surely have enjoyed this tractor.

Pros: Dependable, easy to operate, makes work enjoyable.
Cons: Fuel filter under shield is tough to get at.
