L2800 Kubota
L2800 HST
Model Year: 2010

Well I just sold my 1958 JI Case 400b and got a 2010 L2800. So far so good only have 10hours on the Kubota, it was a left over from last year. Should have bit the bullet in the first place and went with the Kubota, had the case for 1 year. Have property that is fairly hilly and I also have a small homeowners band sawmill that I use for projects around the house. I move trees up to 20" wide and at the most 20 foot long because that is all my mill will handle and as of right now I am happier than a pig in you know what. I have pulled out roughly 30 foot long trees that are probably 18" wide at the butt just using a chain from the draw bar. It is November here and we are 18" over average for rain this year with all the hurricanes and tropical storms here so it is super muddy. The mud here is clay so it sticks to the tires like glue. I pondered R4's vs R1's and am happy I went with the R1's I can't believe what this little thing will pull through mud, up hills, and through my small stream. Can't comment on reliability yet other than it always starts as soon as the key is turned. Have a set of bucket forks that I got for the loader and they work well. Have the LA 524 loader which is currently the loader that comes with the L3200 and 3800 and it has enough balls to lift 20' trees onto my mill. It's a small tractor, but I feel for the size of the machine that the loader is matched nicely for the size and weight of the machine. So far so good I still have to rig up my fisher 7' plow to my loader using a blank skid steer attachment plate that I need to weld the plow to. I had the dealer put on a set of rear remotes and make lines to got to the front of the loader so I can angle the plow. The dealer install looks good they mounted it to the ROPS. Got a good deal on the L2800 also was seriously considering the John Deere 3032e but wasn't impressed with the loader or the weight of the machine compared to the Kubota. Comment more when I have more hours on the machine.

Pros: Seems bullet proof so far.
Cons: Noisy hst.

My Second Wife....
Model Year: 2010

For a few years before I bought I would frequent dealers just to look at the tractors and see if anyone would even talk to me. Also I would go the the fairs every year and sit on all the makes/models and go back and forth and found that I liked the build quality of Kubota the best. They are the only manufacturer that makes their own engines and transmissions and such. they use electrical parts from Denso (as does Toyota/Lexus whom I was a mechanic for), which are very reliable and seldom have issues. At the time I bought it I found out that 51% of tractors sold under 100hp was a kKbota and that says a lot b/c its not like they are the cheapest brand and lastly I spent a lot of time on this site researching. I am completely in love with my tractor. it always seems to amaze me at how much I can do with it and just how strong it is. It is built very well and has given me zero issues so far. It's been my perception that I use the tractor in ways that most others wouldn't do but nothing dangerous and that I use it a lot for being a home owner according to my very knowledgeable sales person. I bought from Art @ MB tractor in tilton NH. Would I buy another one. Yes in a heart beat I would. It's used year round for grounds maintenance and snow removal and moving materials with the pallet forks. Its comfortable and everything on it is more heavy duty than some other tractors. With the HST its super easy to drive and my wife has no problem driving it. and last but not least I smile when I look at it b/c without it my back and whole body would be really screwed up by now.

Pros: Everything, and the quick attach FEL is a God send.
Cons: 3pth can be a little jerky if u move the level quickly and then stop then move again, but otherwise very smooth.

I bought this tractor back in May and have enjoyed what little time I have spent working it. It seems to have all the power I need for playing around on my place and the clean up work I have used it for at my place on the lake. It's a great tractor.

Pros: Great tractor for my use.
Cons: Needs more lifting power on the FEL.

No Regrets
Model Year: 2010

I am 54 years old and have wanted a tractor of my own for over 30 years. In the past I would either do without or rent a tractor or borrow one from a neighbor. When I decided to break down and buy a tractor I knew I wanted a popular brand so it would be easier to sell if I decided I no longer needed one or needed to upgrade to a bigger unit. Kubota is the compact of choice in my area so I naturally gravitated in that direction. I didn't know exactly which features I wanted, but was certain I needed a front end loader, so four wheel drive was also a foregone conclusion. I thought I wanted a shuttle shift but learned that a shuttle shift wasn't available in the 30 HP series I was looking at. this narrowed my choice to two options: Manual shift or HST. I opted for the HST and I am so happy I did. Operating the tractor is a breeze. I would not recommend a manual shift to anyone anticipating using a loader or doing any close in work such as mowing. Overall I am delighted with the tractor. Would buy the same one over again.

Pros: All.
Cons: None.

L2800, ergonomically designed machine, hydrostatic foot pedal in a good spot, bucket controls are easy and simple to use and in a good spot. Have run a 5ft bushhog on a field with no issues and cleaned snow out of the driveway in the winter. This is a 5 star machine in everything but value do to the cost of it. We spent 19000 on it new in 2010. Got quoted 23500 for a Mahindra 4035, way more machine for the money. I don't use it a lot because all of our equipment is to big and rated higher then the 28hp. it was a bad buy for me but that doesn't reflect on the overall quality of the machine.

Pros: Easy to reach controls.
Cons: Warranty not as long as some cheaper brands, can buy more machine for the same money.

This is an excellent tractor. Great Power, easy on fuel, and easy to operate. Bought from Dubberly Tractor in Chester, Va. These guys were great to deal with.

Pros: Price, quality, built in America (Georgia).
Cons: Wish I had bought it sooner.

Awesome Little Tractor
Model Year: 2010

Bought this tractor for bush hogging, yard work, and working a small garden. I even use the front end loader instead of my wheel barrow. It has not let me down. Just completed the 50 hour service. No problems at all.

Pros: Too many to list.
Cons: None at this time.

Nice
Model Year: 2010

L2800, FEL, HST, Industrial tires. Very smooth operation, wide tires do not mar grass much. Lift "jerk" is really a nonissue. HST IS much noisier than manual but i'm lovin' it. very easy to drive. About $500 more than other brands but hope it will last rest of my life. Wife hated old tractor with 4X3 manual. She should like this one.

Pros: lots of dealers, lots of tractors in the field
Cons: Highest price. Wide tires make it tight to hook up 3pt implements

I got my L2800 HST 4WD in early 2006. It came Loaded turf tires, the LA463 loader and a 5' Brushhog.. brush hog.. I have used it exclusively on my 23 acres.. I have used it to move very large boulders, re claim property by pulling up the dreaded Russian olive's here, and hogging a lot of grown over fields.. it has never not preformed the task.. Lots of Power, the FEL has not had a issue nor has the 3 point.. I picked the L2800 for its size and weight.. I am more than pleased with it.. great tractor.. I did have the noisy over running PTO cams changed out with the new quiet ones though.. I hated the sound when it was disengaged.. they covered it under warranty.. with little complaint

Pros: Very well built.. has always been able to complete the task
Cons: None yet found

This is my first tractor and I could not be more pleased with it with the exception of the con listed below. I feel the tractor will last me forever and will maintain its resale value very well if I ever decide to sell it.

Pros: plenty of power
Cons: 3 pt hitch is not smooth and I have the new valve
