If anyone has a tractor with 3 remotes or has any thoughts or insight on the practicality and usefulness of 3 rear hydraulic remotes please comment.

Like horsepower, you can never have to many remotes. If you already know that you will only be doing rotary cutting and nothing else, you have no use for 3 rear remotes. But, if you are like me and plan on getting all the implements that the "boss" will allow, then get 3 remotes.

Glowplug, I know that I wish that I had the 3rd remote on my tractor. Only a few hundred bucks at time of purchase. 2-3 times more after the fact.:( Another use that has not been mentioned yet is if you get a high dollar box blade, it will have hydraulic activated ripper bar-teeth. So if you have Top & Tilt and hydraulic activated rippers (best of the best) There are the 3 remotes. A lot of the better rear blades have 3 hydraulics on them. Although if you have TnT then you only need 2 of those hydraulics for the rear blade. Then you need 4 remotes. I know that if I was to do it again that I would definitely get the 3rd remote.

I have 3 rear remotes, 2 with 1/4" QD fittings for TNT and one with 3/8" QD for everything else like my dump wagon. In the winter I leave the hydraulic top link and use the other 1/4" QD for the snowblower chute deflector and the 3/8" QD for the chute rotator.

In my opinion, if you are going to get one then you might as well pony up and get all three. You will always find a need for them.

I have three remotes on my tractor and use two for TnT and the third one to run my front grapple. I could do it with two if I disconnected the toplink or sidelink when I use the grapple, but it sure is convenient to just leave the hoses attached all the time.

Some tractors may not have the capability of having three factory remotes. I'm not sure about Kubota, but on the New Holland smaller CUTs, only two remotes can be installed. It's just a matter of space. Of course, you can always do it like Mad did and build your own. I can't remember where I saw the picture, but I saw one tractor with 5 or 6 remotes (big ag tractor). It looked like some multi-barrel weapon.

I have two factory remotes on my M9000. That’s all I needed until I bought this rock picking machine. Now I have to use a diverter valve to split the output of one remote because the rock picker teeth move, the digging depth is hydraulic and then it has a dump function.

Three on my B2910 ..... one for the toplink and one for a newly acquired sidelink which I haven't installed yet. I use the third for my dump wagon or the angle cylinder on the landscape rake. Probably cost an extra $130 or so for the additional valve section and fittings .... like you said .... not really that much more and it's handy not have to unhook things.

I'm away from the farm right now but this link will take you to see what a new one looks like. I have the standard dump model not the high lift and mine is much older and not very pretty anymore.
