That Kubota Color

Yep, I must say I like the orange too, wouldn't want any other color on it!

If it makes you feel any better, AC was the first company to paint tractors persain orange and that was 70 + years ago. Myself, i love the bright orange! AC was also the first to offer rubber tires on a tractor.

Four years ago I actually "looked" at my first Kubota tractor. Honestly, the color bothered me too, but everyone around kept insisting I try Kubota, so I bought a garden tractor. That color has slowly grown on me over the last couple of years, despite my wife's preference for the color red or blue to the point where I now own two Kubotas

I think I'm going to need help on this....I hope I'm not stepping on too many toes here. Believe me, this is an honest question. In my opinion the M59 works so much better for what I want in a tractor that there isn't anything else close. My wife wants us to get a new tractor and we've looked at them all. That M59 is A Great Tractor. So here I am all ready to buy a M59 and still can't get over the color. That's what is stopping me - the color. And it isn't just the tangerine color - after all, that's a matter of taste and I could maybe get over it. But the M59 is BIG! There's LOTS of that color and in a particularly aggressive shade. I like to relax when I work on my land, and a more friendly color would make the time much more enjoyable.

So I figure who better to turn to than the largest group of Kubota owners in the world? I can't be the only one that loves the way they work but has problems with the color. In fact, I know I'm not.

So what have other Kubota owners done? I'm not going to re-paint a new tractor, and could probably handle the color if the glare was diminished a bit so at least it wasn't so aggressive. Are they available in other colors? Paint? Patterns? Are there artificial oxidized coatings? Maybe a colored wax? Hey! People use colored wax on their hardwood floors don't they?

Make a request, they make some things in camaflauge, who knows maybe they'll do it. I can almost swear I saw a Kubota that was not Orange at Wilson Tractor in Newberry SC about a year or so ago when I was looking.

Never a fan of the color orange - always prefer subdued colors or about any shade of blue

Before I got my BX I bought a Stihl MS460 - what a monster - loved the saw - ahh, who cares that it's orange....

Then I was looking at the concept car for the Dodge Challenger - in Plymouth Orange. Loved the car - but I didn't want Orange.

Then I got the 'Bota - what a lil' monster - love it - liked the Ford blue the best, but liked the orange and red over the green (only talking colors now)

Wife has been telling me I should get the Challenger now that it's out (I'm still on the fence 'cause I'm torn between it and the upcoming Camaro) - but to please not get orange.

But now I can't imagine getting it in any other color. It has definately grown on me. Seems like power and muscle and the color just go together

One of my favorite colors is the Harley Davidson motorcycle orange.
Would love to have my 1986 Dodge D-50 painted that color.

I can't help to laugh about a color being a reason to buy a tractor. If it was a car, then I could understand, but a tractor?

The best thing I have found to remedy the brightness, don't wash it.

Also, that bright range can save your but if you have to drive it on the road, afterall it can be seen for miles. I think the oragne works better than the reflectors.

If it really bothers you can paint the easy stuff and make it a two tone. Everyone will think you got a Special Edition Kubota then. Actually I like that idea a lot.
