Transmission Whine

My B7610 is quite a whiner. Definitely noticeable, but doesn't bother me. My ears ring all the time too, and I got used to that. The 7610 really emits a snarl when I try to move it with the brake set....has served as an excellent indicator.

Anyway, the 7610 got SUDT at the 50 hr. mark and it didn't make a bit of difference. At the time SUDT was about $75 per 5 gal. pail. Now it's $109.90. The MX5000 will hit 50 hours before snow flies and need at least 12 gallons. Think it's going to have to live with UDT. $22 a gallon is too much.

I just got my B2620 back from its 50 hour service. The HST whines much more than it did before, when under load. I called the dealer that performed the service, to confirm that they used S-UDT as required in the owner's manual. They told me that they used Kubota Premium UDT, which they say is the only fluid which they can get from Kubota, and that the Kubota Premium UDT is in fact S-UDT. This makes no sense to me, if it was S-UDT then wouldn't the stuff be labelled that way? Does anyone know anything about the "Premium UDT"? I have a gallon of this stuff in my garage, and it does not say anything about being S-UDT.

They are in fact the same,.. its only premium UDT now,.. how do I know,.. cause I have worked for a dealership the past 8yrs.

Thanks for the info. At least I know I can trust the dealer. But the Kubota Owner's manual (remeber, this is a brand new model) specifies S-UDT. If Kubota has relabelled their product, then why on earth do they still refer to it as S-UDT in the manual?

Cause it was done recently and would cost too much to change everything for printing the books I guess.

What I hate more is that Kubota releases new products to the consumer even before we get service manuals to repair them,...
