After all fellas, this is the JD forum. Seems like the proper place to rah rah our green machines. Kinda like the bs when you tell your company/platoon/squad etc that we're the best #$% company/platoon/squad that's ever been in the whole #$%&*@# U.S. Army. May not be true, but it sure feels good to say it.
Never had any experience with any other color of contemporary tractors, but spent a bunch of hours as a kid on M-5 Moline, UB Moline, M Farmall, 1855 Oliver, and of course JD 4010 and 4020s. Pop's old 1855 is still sitting out at the farm waiting on me to get time to get him running and fixed up a bit. Guess he will have to adjust to all that JD green when the time comes.
I got back in the tractor game in 2005 and went JD because the 03 model fit me at the time from advice I received on this forum and went green mainly because of the dealer network out in my neck of the woods. Have not been disappointed with JD's parts system either.
Its a great country where we have so many choices to rag each other about.
