You could also run arc welding beads down the edge of a piece of flat stock to create a cutting edge. Works well if you can avoid warping the flat stock.

Depends on how thick the edge is. What we've done on Fisher plow edges is to weld a 1/2" piece of round stock under the edge once its worn down...the welding process heats the round stock up enough that it ends up super tough....actually gonna do it to my cutting edge for the blade I just finished up.

What in looking for is a bolt on cutting edge similar to a bucket cutting edge, I want to build (eventualy) a belly dump scraper to pull behince a tractor.

Any equipment dealer or the Cat dealer will have cutting edges.

Just look in the Grande Prairie Yellow pages.

I know but im looking for blank non pre drilled, and preferably bulk. Buying them predrilled and for specific applications they aint cheap. I start welding at a new shop on monday and they sell steel products so this might work to my advantage if they can get it.

Don't know if they ship to Canada but I bookmarked this place (found here on the TBN) a while back. Haven't ordered from them.

The owner of the shop would be able to order for you from his wholesale supplier.
While it may not be stock item, it for sure will be available.
Downside might be the minimum order requirement (maybe 20ft length) but even at that you would be ahead, just have a few 'spare' cutting edges.

They should be able to order blank generic cutting edges.

But they will not be cheap either. Cutting edge is plain expensive.
