Me thinks this thread unraveled.
Actually.. past experience has show that your profile is not sufficient info in many cases. Lots of times geographical location and property size are taken into account during tractor and equipment discussions.
Uh.. I never asked you to look at my profile?
Why are you so rude?

Somehow, I just spent the last 30 minutes reading this whole string and it is really impressive how passionate some folks are about this stuff.
In the end of the day, it floors me that someone...anyone...could make the argument that one brand is simply better than the other and that's that. Anonymous or not, that is a tough statement to make.
This is more of a Ford/Chevy/Honda thing. All good machines. Last I checked, Honda and Toyota had very strong manufacturing capacity state-side. And Kubota? Take a look in Georgia.
In the end, it's all about JOBS. You wouldn't want to see what happens if all foreign company based manufacturing left our shores. It would not be pretty, I assure you of that.
Chevy has unleashed several Korean cars on our shores with their sacred logo on the hood. Similarly, I'm 100% certain there are some JD tractors with less American content (from parts to assembly) in them than some Kubota tractors.
What does that mean? I don't have a freakin' clue. Just don't call me un-American.
There is no fault in purchasing Orange, Green, or whatever. They're all good tractors that we each take a lot of pride in for our own reasons.
Put another way, I'd like to see someone walk over to my house and ask, "Why'd you get a Kubota...you know you really wanted a Deere. Why would ANYONE want a Kubota over a Deere. You must have not had enough money to buy what you REALLY wanted." That is almost exactly what was written by someone about 10 pages back. And I have to say, it sounds a little silly. A LOT silly. And just a little mean.
Sorry. Just had to drop a line. This was all too good to miss out on.
It would only be mean if it was true
Sorry, I had to. I agree with you that that stament makes no sense.. just had to poke a little at the coals.... See if there is still fire...
Looks like there are still a few hot embers nmu98...this is too easy...
Deere is the best and all of you know it. cuboters are a nice runner up for those who just can't, for whatever reason, buy the King of tractors...the John Deere. Isn't there a cuboter forum for all those who own those nice little orange machines. Is cuboter a spinoff of Kioteee? The cuboter orange looks just like the Kioteee orange, hard to tell what's what...Doesn't matter.
i dont think we really know how you feel. won't you please tell us?![]()
I was actually hoping that statements like this were made in jest with little smiley faces and everything to demonstrate that the statement is intended with a sarcastic tone.Deere is the best and all of you know it. cuboters are a nice runner up for those who just can't, for whatever reason, buy the King of tractors...the John Deere.
