Are you saying he is duplicating posts? I've not seen an overabundance of duped posts.. it does happen now and again though... If inadverdent.. it's nothing to get worked up about.

In any case..a s I said.. I don't see eye to eye with lbrown alot.. but.. it's another thing to outright insult somebody here.

remember the terms of use... try to play nice.. if you don't like his posts.. put him on your ignore list and then you won't see his posts...

I think you are wrong and out of line in your thinking. LBrown constantly plays the same Kubota song over and over and over. Every time someone asks an opinion about a John Deere tractor he starts his criticism of their interest in Deere or the model modelthey ask about. We get the part about his dislike for the Deere X700 Series garden tractors.
If you don't think he repeats himself then you haven't been paying attention, sometimes it's so bad he replies to his own posts!!!!!!!!!!

i doubt too many people seriously looking for a tractor will compare past experiences with a garden tractor they once owned and had bad luck with. or maybe they do. i'm not one of those type people however.

Sour grapes.

Sour Lemmings.

Can't help but laugh.:p:p:p

I used to be in the motorcycle industry for 10 years. Brand loyalty is fairly strong there too.

Wrong in my line of thinking.. unless you can read minds.. then step back.

I stated my position.. I said i didn't see lbrown repeating posts.. or that if he was.. I wasn't noticing them.. That statement stands!

I don't troll around in the orange and green forums...simply no interest in owning a new kubota.. or 'i'd license my soul if I could-jd'... I do occasionally read a post here and there.. but replies and new posts in those areas are few and far between for me... this thread has been the vast exception to that ... I have probably posted more in this thread than all my previous posts in the orange and green forums together.. in the last 6ys.. etc..

As i said before.. If he's duplicating posts (here).. I havn't seen it.. I'm not saying he didn't..

In any case.. who cares.. if you don't like his or anyone else's post.. ignore them and move on... I've got a good collection of people in my ignore list... and they never bother me anymore.... and I'm always lookin to add more to make my online experience more pleasurable.. To constantly throw tomatoes back and forth doesn't help anybody... took a long time for me to see that too...

Went back and reread the first few posts in this thread the content of which was a few JD guys musing on the esoterics of owning a John Deere. Does not appear anyone was knocking anyone else's team. It seems that the JD forum is the logical place for such conversation. I myself have yet to even look at any of the other specific brand forums simply because I don't own any of those brands and cannot comment on them. For the folks who own other brands, I am really glad they have what they have. It sures make me no difference whatsoever who has what nor what they think about what I have. Whatever you have, as I said earlier, it beats a wheelbarrow.

Many of us still hold on to those nationalistic tendencies with 1776 in mind and certain products evoke those feelings. I think most of us know that a lot of American products are unpure at best if not completely foreign.

I purchased a Shiloh Sharps rifle and paid a handsome price for it. It is made in the USA. I have several Uberti (Cimarron Firearms) reproductions. The 1876 Winchester is one of them and it is a beautiful piece of work and is at the top of my favorites in my firearms collection and is a really nice shooter. But that Shiloh Sharps has a special place in my heart because I know my fellow Americans put their labor and sweat into it.

I won't apologize for the sentimentalities and I just think this is where this thread started without any intention of demeaning any of the other colors of tractors.

I believe you are correct in your observations. If I remember correctly (and I may not) I believe this thread started down hill with the implication John Deere owners are lemmings...Not sure what being a Ford owner makes me...;)

The thread started "down hill" long before I said anything about lemmings. The "dive" started when a few Deere zealots began preaching the nonsense about Deere always being the absolute best at everything, the idea that everyone wanted a Deere and was merely "settling for less" when they purchased another brand, and the real laugher was the one about anyone "daydreaming about a tractor" did so about Deere. THOSE Deere owners ARE lemmings. They bought HYPE as opposed to making choice based on reality. They decided to forgo
any real decision making and simply follow the instructions of the Deere marketing department.

I currently own 3 Deere tractors, and a host of Deere implements. What I bought was IMHO, the best product available at the time, as compared to what else is available in a similar model from other brands. I own 3 Massey Ferguson tractors. I felt they were the best tractor and at the best value in their class at the time. I own various brands of various implements. I've owned all sorts of "colors", be it a tractor, a baler, a plow, ect. Point being, I'm not color blind. I pick what suits my needs while being the best product I can get. In the case of what Deere's I own now, and in the cases of several I've owned in the past, some have proven to be worthy of the appraisal I gave at the time of purchase. Some most certainly haven't panned out. A few were real stinkers. Those stinkers come in ALL colors, including green.

Well Keef, getting back to your original comments and the comparison to the Harleys--some 3 decades ago my mode of transport was a 750-4 Honda complete with Windjammer, crash bars and a sissy bar. I remember one time I was riding somewhere and met a platoon of Harleys--not the middle aged folks like today--I guess some "club" and got the middle finger salute from a bunch of them. Always wondered if it was the rice burner or me being solo not wearing "colors" that got the salute. Although I rode a rice burner, I still left a lot of nose prints on Harley dealership windows. Always said I would get me a Harley, but never did having given up riding the road back in '81.

Can say I have never given the orange, red, and blue boys the salute.:D

Hey if you choose to settle for less...;) Frankly this thread has warn its self out. I just don't care enough about what anyone owns to worry about it. Maybe I took the lemming remark out of context, if I did I am sorry. I am a third generation John Deere owner, am I proud of that? Yes, actually I am. Do I wear green and yellow underwear? No, actually I don't.
