Someone else had the same thought. My new Mahindra 5525 has the ML250 FEL built by Buhler and distributed by BII Fargo, Inc. They use that tube to store the two legs used to support the FEL when its detached from the tractor.
You can see one of the end caps on the tube and one of the brackets on the far FEL arm for a support leg.

I can think of a couple of times where front wheel fenders would have kept me from getting mud in my eye so to speak. Are they stationary, or do they pivot with the wheels when you make a turn?

I like the french bread Idea. They don't sell it around here because no one speaks french The tractor looks clean because it's new. well it will actually only be used for snow clearing and may never see a dirt road. I attached a picture of my old 1993 GMC truck that was taken a few months ago. that truck has plowed snow every winter for 13 years and is in perfect condition with the orginal paint so I tend to keep everything clean and maintained.
The front fenders are mounted to the steering knuckle and turn when the wheels turn. I think it was a nice thought for Kubota to add them. Enjoyed the comments guys. Thanks!
PS. The Kioti decal was added for a bit of fun. I almost purchased a Kioti but the Kubota won out.
