I guess your next post will be: Three tractors are better than two.

Oops, did I beat you to the punch.

If you have any slopes beware of the zero turn mowers. They do not do banks very well. They will pull the front of the mower down hill if you are going across the hill. They tend to pull out of control downhill. They do very well going up hill and backing back down(kind of scary though). I bought a 26HP 60 inch cut commericial machine and had it a week and took it back for the above reason. I went with a used (100 hours) BX1500 with a 54" MMM and I am very satisfied with the way it works for my situation. If you are mowing level ground the zero turns are great but not on slopes. So it would depend on what you are mowing, but for me the BX machine fit the bill.
Does The 54'' Mower lug the engine down?
I have a BX1500 with the 48'' MMM.
I would have preferred the 54'' but was told the BX1500 didn't have enough power to handle it.
What would you say to that statement?

Couldn't help myself.

I may paint my old Craftsman orange and try to pass off two tractors.

I'm still one shy of you. LOL

Does a Scott's (Made by John Deere) with a 23 HP Kohler, from Home Depot count? It is already Orange!

If so, I am up to 3 now! :D

*Yeah but I really have 6 tractors .
I don't have the 66 and 67 Bolens tractors nor the 2005 CC GT2554 listed in my signature below.:D

I have a BX-24 and a 60 inch MMM and I used it to mow 5 acres of field and lawn. I got tired of removing the mower to do landscaping work (took one time) and bought a BX1850 this year with a 50 inch MMM to do the grass cutting. I also use it with a post hole digger and an another implement which allows me to dig trenches. I would have to remove the backhoe on the BX24 to do the same job. The BX1850 with mower was only about 2 grand more than a decent mowing machine.

The BX1500 will handle a 54" deck very well. I have not experienced trouble with being bogged down as of yet. I mow about 2 flat acres and 1/4 acre that is ranging in degree of slope.
