I finally go around to making my ballast box based on designs I saw here.

It used 600 lbs of quick rite concrete mix.

Attached is a picture. I think it came out pretty nice for an amateur.

Thanks to whomever s design I used.

I would say so!! Nice job.

Question: how do you get that sucker on the 3 pt arms? I had to take mine off the other day to put the blade on and suddenly remembered why i use a lot of discretion of ever taking it off. It is just a pain to line every thing up again when it is time to put it back on, usually employing the use of a large rock or hammer to get the arms in place and the pins in. I just have rocks in my rock box and am working on getting some of the quick change thingies from Pat. I would imagine 600# plus would be even more fun.

I cant answer for NYBOB, but I can give you MY personal answer...
iMatch or a comparable ASAE Quick Hitch
I would never own a tractor with a 3pt without one.

Amen tot he Imatch!

I also have my weight box on a 2K caster cart. I can cake it off and roll it into a corner, or move it for any reason. Very helpful!

I have it on a 1000lb rolling pallet and move it right into place.

I tried the iMatch route but had some implements that wouldn't seem to work so I put everything heavy on rollers.
