Wow that guy is definately in trouble. You are right you can spend hours on that site. There are a few good ones, but I would bet most of us a guilty of at least one of the safety violations.

I got to believe the tractor pic is staged. Wouldn't a GPS system that knows where the end of the property is also know the power line is there? Not much visable damage to the tractor hood or grill. The Navy's site is certainly good for laughs but they're trying to influence 18- twenty something's that may not have a lot of real world experience.

Probably driving without GPS and in the fog. Those towers completely disappear in bad weather. Trust me on that.

A couple of weeks ago my wife came home early from work. Turned out a farmer had snagged a guy wire and snapped a pole off with his planter. No power. No work. I don't like to think what it cost my wife's employer to send everyone home early. It is a mystery what the farmer was doing on the lawn of the business park.
