The 3 point BH project I began earlier in the year. It doesn't look like much right now but hopefully I will find time to get it completed by Spring. Finishing our basement is another Winter project certainly no lack of things to do. Of course finances will dictate what if anything gets accomplished. The photos were taken last night after spending the better part of the day moving things around and trying to find the garage floor which hadn't been seen for many months. Will ad photos as new work gets completed.

Looks great - very nice job.

I usually have a couple projects going on and I can totally relate to the pause that is sometimes necessary to clean up the shop and re-group! If I don't do that I sometimes get overwhelmed!

Good Luck with the backhoe (and the basement).

And they said it couldn't be done. I'm a big fan of back yard engineering. Sometimes I bite off more than I should but it is facinating what a wirefeed and a good metal saw can accomplish. Keep us in the link with updates and pictures. If looks compares to how effective it works.......... it is a winner.

Beautiful work! You stole my idea, ha ha. What type of steel did you use?

Wow very impressive so far. Cant wait to see the finished product. What kind of specs do you have on it(digging depth)?

Thanks. Rather than re-inventing the wheel, I began it about a year ago with plans from P.F. Engineering. Since I can never leave things alone I have made a few minor mods. The digging depth should be around 6-1/2Ft
If the hydraulics from the 2320 are too slow I will add a pto pump. Hopefully the tractors hydraulics and the power beyond I added will handle the 2In cylinders I'm using.

thats some very impressive work there. How much do you will have spent building this? Like would it have been cheaper to buy a second hand back hoe, but its not always the price, just the fact you have built it

Thanks. Best guess would be aound $1500-$1800.
Whether I could have bought a used BH for the same amount I don't know possibly, I think it would have proven difficult to find one the right size for my 2320. Also, I just simply enjoy building stuff.
