Got Ambushed Last Night and Shot!

Just for the simple fact there are no records of this event in any shape or form.

I'm curious if you actually know there are NO records or it just wasn't reported in any news media.
I witnessed a pretty incredible saga a couple of years ago involving a wacko living in the woods near my office with bomb making supplies, lots of ammo and buried cash reserves. The sheriffs department was in there for days. Never, ever was there one peep on ANY of the local news media. Makes me wonder how much happens we never hear about....

Lots. A friend works for the city doing surveying.. sometimes he has to climb a tree or pole to get a sighting. he says he's seen bodies pulled out of dumpsters by the local pd and then never ses anything about it in the local paper... says this is QUITE COMMON depending on what side of town he is working in.

It may not be an intentional conspiracy but a de facto one when many news media miss/avoid/ignore the same event.

I used to listen to English language shortwave broadcasts from foreign news organizations and often was amazed at things going on in the world that went unmentioned in the US. Ongoing situations (a war in Africa or wherever) that might get reported in the US and then just fade from US press coverage would still be covered by some of the foreign press as activity escalated way beyond the level originally covered by the US press.

I recall one evening in particular circa '63-'64'when a couple isolated reports of UFO sightings were made in the US (one observer was a highway patrol officer) but received little attention. Meanwhile the foreign news outlets all around the world (as I tuned around on shortwave radio) were filled with stories of various UFO sightings, all that one evening. Why wouldn't the US press pick up on that and report it? Aren't near simultaneous UFO sightings at several different worldwide locations significant?

Disclaimer: Several reliable witnesses saw something at widely scattered locations the in reasonably close proximity, time wise. I make no claim the "somethings" were spacecraft from places unknown, remotely piloted or "manned" by extraterrestrials.

In the 3 parish area that I live in there are an average of 200 major offenses reported by the police daily. The newpaper would have to devote a special section to the paper just to report all these offenses. Reporters usually just scan through the police reports and report the most sensational ones.

I am not naive enough to count on the media for my resources thankfully.

I agree, sort of... reporters scan the reports until they have enough to fill the paper, then take the rest of the day off. I read the "police blotter" for 2 weeks after a drunk plowed into me on I-78, doing 95mph, totaling my Crown Vic and almost me, and tying up traffic for an hour - and the newspaper did a fabulous job of noting smashed mailboxes and treed cats.
Remember, the news is managed - we see and hear what "others" want us to see and hear.

Luckily, the small town I live in has the least crime in the tri-parish area. It has only had one murder that I remember and that was a family feud. It's never even had a bank robbery.

There are no banks in my town.
