the cash should be used as a wick in the olive oil UNDER the frying pan, or if you have lots of it, burn it under the frying pan.

Just dont burn the EVOO! Especially Rox's EVOO!

Rox, we are glad that things are moving though it is slow and painful. The tax side has to be very frustrating. We timbered part of our property when we bought it. I gave up trying to find an accountant who understood Timber taxes. I knew more about it than they did so I did the best I could and filed the paper work. The IRS did not come after me so I must have been in the ball park.

sorry if I insinuated such sacrilege, I was thinking of something like trading some of Rox's olive oil at least 10-1 for some cheap olive oil and burning that with the $$$ as a wick. I need to be clearer in my postings.

Shoot! Missed a good chance today a the local pallet yard. We now have to use plastic pallets when exporting to USA or Canada (if you use wood you have to pay to fumigate them). The local used pallet company has probably 2 to 3 acres of wood pallets stacked about 25ft tall and they get a few plastic pallets once in a while. We pick through the few that they have becasue we need heavy duty ones because our glass bottles of olive oil are pretty heavy. My hsuband goes in the office to pay the bill and the yard manager questions him why we didn't bring a "sample" with us. They get a lot of customers and can advertise for us, yadda yadda yadda. Bottom line is we could ahve easily traded one or our large sized bottles for those pallets that are simply in their way and they are glad to have someone to take them away.
Next time we go we will bring olive oil with us, I'm certain we cna do a trade, shoot we missed our chance today.
