well looks like the deal might go through on the 758C backhoe...can anyone tell me what bolts need to be checked to keep the bell housing from cracking?

I guess no one here talks to Canadians...HA! Anyway i figured it all out...Decided to buy a box blade and no Backhoe...prolly hold off a bit till i figure out some more stuff...The box blade will make more money now then a BH anyway.

Hi and Welcome,

I too am holding off on a BH for now. So far I think it's smarter to rent a minihoe whenever needed. I could likely purchase a used minihoe for the price of a BH anyway!!

Ahoy Neighbor , Welcome to TBN blue,:)

Great place BC is, beautiful country side specially when sun is shining. We have been there several times with the family and enjoyed all and every visit. Never got to go to Victoria Island yet, Hopefully next time.

I suspect no one answered your question because most manuals tell you to check all the nuts and bolts to make sure they're tight. No one does that, of course.

But anyway, welcome to Tractorbynet.

Welcome, I am just South of the border from you. I recently upgraded to a larger New Holland from my TC30. It was an outstanding tractor with no issues in over 3 years for ownership. I thought about putting a backhoe on it, but in the end I need a bigger tractor for what I was doing. We do need to see some pictures when you get it installed :)

Right on, I was not being ignored after all! Instead of dropping some 12k Canadian $ on a new BH, I spent 1K on a real nice box blade (with removable/adjustable teeth). I also ordered a factory option coffee cup holder for the right fender and (because I'm not getting any younger, or any less heavy) a NH step kit. Last but not least, I bought an auxiliary work light to shed some light on the box blade, and some low profile (white) fog lights for the top of the ROPS bar. Once it's all installed, I will post up some cool pics

I think down the road buying a new Holland mini excavator (from their construction line) is going to be the way to go. At this stage of my business the overwhelming need simply isnt there. However, I have used the box scraper at least 90% of each time I turned the key on the tractor! Cash flow management is king!
