Sell tractor and hoe seperately?

Will that hoe fit any other tractors? I'm pretty sure that the L39 is their commercial model and that hoe only fits that tractor. If you can sell it first, then there is a good chance that you can sell the tractor without the hoe, but the big selling point for the L39 is the hoe being stronger and better then the after market, add on hoes that you buy for a compact tractor.

If you sell just the tractor, it's very likely that you will be stuck with the hoe for awhile and you will either have to sell the hoe cheap to move it, or hold on to it until you find somebody with an L39 who's looking for a hoe and willing to pay your price.

I wouldn't separate that combination.

I recant everything i've said earlier. Wasn't until i read Eddie's post that it hit me you had a commercial tractor. I absolutely would not seperate your hoe from your L39........ the market for that hoe will be extremely limited.

If you sold your tractor first it would be hard to move the hoe around seems like it would be quite inconvenient. And if someone wanted to buy the hoe separate I would think they would want to see work before they buy it.

My only thought was that I could have a local dealer sell it for me on commission (have confirmed). A new L39 buyer could pick up the hoe and save more than a few thousand dollars....If they're not going to use the hoe all the time, it might be a good way to go. The Kubota option is something just under 11K on the L39. There's got be some buyers that would like the savings. It's in excellent condition and looks relatively new.

Any thoughts on the possibility of selling my L39 tractor and hoe separately?

I have an offer for the tractor alone and not sure if it makes any sense to separate. Since the hoe is specifically matched to the tractor, just wondering how hard people think it would be to sell the hoe? Somebody could save many thousands by buying a used hoe and a new tractor. -I'm thinking it's not a great idea, but possible. Thoughts?

I would not separate the two. If someone only wants the tractor, let them buy the package and THEY can sell off the BH (even though we all know that they'll keep it and ultimately wonder what they were thinking).

Do you plan on offering the same financing on the used hoe the dealer is offering on the new one? How many buyers do you suppose are going to make a substantial down payment on a new tractor loader AND full cash payment for your used hoe? That would be a big nut for most buyers to crack.

Do you actually think your local dealer is going to work as hard to sell your used hoe as a new one? Which one do you suppose he has the better margin on? The better gross?

Don't split the package up unless you find a cash buyer for the hoe first, and then only maybe.

Selling the L39 hoe seperatly will only leave you with..........a L39 hoe. Finding a buyer for one will take years, probably when they disconitnue the model and someone needs one after they are no longer available. I wouldn't even consider selling it other than a package deal.

The only other tractor it has ANY chance of fitting is the L35. Selling the
hoe separately won't be easy (as others have said), but it would be a bit
easier if it is known to fit the L35.

There are several L35s around here for sale, and they are missing their
hoes (BT900). They don't sell too well, apparently, as these are TLBs
with bolted-on loaders, no HSTs, and clearly oriented towards construction
work. THe L39 hoe is the BT1000, if I recall, but the 4-point mount LOOKS
like the mount on the L35.

I would hold out for a buyer for the whole TLB.

Can you imagine trying to put a used back hoe on your own tractor. Think of the screwing around and parts that might be missing.People will want a heck of a deal to make it worth while. I know your hoe is nice but will a buyer??Sell as a nice package.

Package deal. For all the reasons mentioned above. A buyer for the whole thing will come eventually.
