the independant deck lift uses the regen circuit that the curl function uses. the diverter valve allows both to be hooked up at the same time, just switch between what ever one you need to use. I find lifting the front of the tractor with the fel helpful to remove/install the mmm.

Ah got it. I think I'm set w/ that diverter valve. That's the way he explained it working anyway. Thanks JiminGa.

Stopped by the dealer (ontrac) on my way home from work and tooled around in the snow on a 2305. Nice little machine, and I think the wife will be a little less intimidated with the lower stance. Plus it will fit under the trees a little better while mowing. Ordered up one of them, the 200cx, 53" bucket, 62C, independent lift, 47" blower, and a ballast box
1*all for not much more than I would have paid for the 2520 w/ just the loader.
1*One of the reasons I bought a BX23 over a B Kubota /\ \/ More attachements for about the same or less money.
Congrats on the 2305.

You don't mess around. We just drove by your dealer last weekend while visiting relatives. Have fun. Congrats.

Good deal Diz! I think you'll be VERY happy with your decision.

As others have already stated, pics are necessary. Hang around now that you've bought too! :)

Congrats on the setup Diz.

You are gonna LOVE that blower. Lots of other configurations will work, but once you start clearing a big snow you'll know without a doubt that you have the right tool for the job.

You're wife might like the lower stance, but I'll bet that by about the fourth or fifth time getting on and off you'll like it too!

Congrats!

Congrats on the 2305 and toys.

This is the second winter for me and my 2320. I bought it in 2008 with the 200CX FEL, 62D MMM, 647 tiller and this summer added a 60 inch Frontier rough cut mower.

I just spent the last three days clearing snow from our yard after two big snowfalls. It took a long time with the FEL but I have lots of time so that isn't really an issue, more seat time on the 2320. My concern is space to put all the snow, now I am considering the 47 snow blower. I push all the snow towards our dugout but after the first big snowfall the snow is now hard as a rock and can't move. If I had the blower I could have blown it into the digout and still had lots of room for the rest of the snow in the last couple storms. Online and in Canadian pricing the blower with needed parts and pieces cost between $3600 and $4100. I will be checking with the local dealer tomorrow to see what he prices it at.

We live in southern Saskatchewan on quarter section and the yard site is about 10 - 15 acres. I clean the snow from about 2 acres of that but we also have a 1/8 mile driveway. In snow storms the wind usually keeps the driveway clear but the end of the drieway by the highway can really collect snow. Right now there is just under 90 hours on the 2320 and I have loved every minute of it, great machine and and I would like to make it even better with adding a blower. Last winter there wasn't much snow but so far this year we have lots.

Still not sure if I should get the blower but I will talk to the dealer tomorrow.

Spud,

Nothing is fast or easy on a big snow, but the blower works real good. You handle the snow 1 time and it's gone. It is pricey though. I got fairly lucky and found a 47 that was mounted on a different unit. I made brackets to fit my 2210 and was off to the races.

Factory guys may not have this problem, but the only downside I have is that I need to remove the entire front-pto/snowblower subframe to get the loader back on. The front/bottom part of the loader stand interferes with the blower subframe in the last 2" of travel, as the loader stand sucks itself back up tight to the tractor frame.

It's not a deal breaker if I need to use the loader, but it does mean that instead of two pins to drop the blower, it's two pins, a pto shaft, one pin, and another pto shaft, 5 minutes and dirty hands to get the blower and frame off. Not a deal breaker, but not auto anything. Like I said though...factory guys could be better off.

Wow! You're pulling a five foot bush hog with the 2320? That really seems like a lot for that machine to power. I see on the Deere website that it is rated for that size rear finish mower. The PTO has what, about 18HP? Does it bog down much on you? If it works well for you, that's really great. I just never would have thought it, considering the PTO HP and lightness of the tractor.

EDIT:

Well, I'll be darned. I went to the Deere website and pulled up the owner's manual for the LX series of cutters. Here is what they say in the manual about minimum PTO HP for those cutters:

MODEL MIN PTO HP

LX4 14.5
LX5 18
LX6 22

Guess it proves the old saying. "If all else fails, read the instructions."

Holy Cow, Spud, moving snow off of 2 ACRES with a 2320 and 54 inch blade?

You must be ready for a good stiff drink after that.
