We have been pretty lucky so far I haven't had to plow any snow. We had a couple go arounds with ice but it was gone in a day. It is supposed to get down below 0 this week a couple of mornings but no big amounts of snow.

"Is it winter where you are?" Not yet but it will be by the end of this week. About all I have seen so far is a couple of flurries and some freezing rain. We will be in the teens during the day and single digits at night by the end of this week. It's about time!!! I love the cold.

Ohio must have changed since I left it.

Why's that?
I was stationed in Fort Bliss TX in Jan Feb March and April 1964.
It was sure a lot colder back in Ohio at that time.
Parts of TX gets well over 100 degrees in the summer.
In Ohio you might get a few 90 degree days come summmer.

You mean in Ohio, you might get a few summer days when it isn't in the 90's with the humdity less than 90%. I lived there until I was 22 and hated the brutal hot summers and the cold gloomy cold winters.

I'll take the UP of Michigan (my choice to live here, not my parents) with a few days in the summer in the 90's and winter where you can actually do winter things. Unfortunately the springs here don't quite compare to Ohio.

We got 10"of the light and fluffy kind yesterday and a couple days before that got about 8. The week ahead is supposed to be well below zero every night. I'm starting to thing winter is about to arrive.

Yep. Down in Central Mass last week, I got about 1.5" of sleet/freezing rain (the last thing these poor trees need), then a couple days later got 3" of powder, then about another 6" - 8" on Saturday night/Sunday morning...

I'm already tired of this, and it's only just begun... highs toward the end of this week are predicted to be single-digits -- after the next front comes through and gives us a few more inches of this white stuff...

We picked up 20 inches in the last 4 days and more to go. We are over 100 inches now and there is no end in sight. Best money ever spent was on the ab for the tractor. I was out twice today clearing the driveway. But it is downright cold out there tonight. Suposed to drop below zero later tonight and for the next few days. HAve another storm coming in tomorrow night then the lake effect snow will start back up again. It actually was pretty much blizzard conditions early today with the wind (30-35 mph).
